We were recently on a cruise and at the Invergordon stop did a tour around the surrounding area with Shore Excursions. The itinerary was completely adapted to our wishes, for instance it was not important for us to go into certain attractions whilst others we preferred to spend more time at. Basically the day was tailored for us. Thomas (tour guide) was very friendly and knowledgeable, would thoroughly recommend to anybody thinking of visiting Invergordon, also as an alternative if on a cruise to the standard cruise trips. Price was very reasonable!

We had a wonderful day with Thomas during our stop in Invergordon. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and flexible, adjusting the private tour on the spot to match our interests, which made the experience feel truly personalized.

It was a relaxed, enjoyable day, and through his stories and perspective, we got a great overview of that region of Scotland.

The value of this private tour compared to the big bus tours (which were even more expensive) was simply unbeatable.

We would absolutely recommend booking with Nigel and Thomas to anyone visiting Invergordon.

We're with Nigel! You should be too.

I would highly recommend touring with Nigel and his crew. I worked out the arrangements via e-mail with Nigel easily and Thomas our guide was at the port waiting for us so it was easy to start our tour. It was very nice to be able to get to know Thomas and he'd point out so many little details about the local area as we heading between stops, offered to pull over for photo opportunities, help take a photo of us, etc. Staff at the distillery and Dunrobin Castle told us we were in good hands when they saw we were part of Nigel's tours and said nothing but good things about them so it's really complementary hearing such from their colleagues.

We never felt rushed for as much as we were able to see in a single day. We visited Dunrobin Castle, Falls of Shin, Loch Fleet, Royal Dornoch, Balblair Distillery and more. Our tour gave us a real taste of the area and it's natural beauty, history, culture and left us wanting to return to Scotland.

Another thoughtful touch was toward the end of our tour when we stopped at Millionaire's View, Nigel had arranged for a champagne toast and sweet treat to celebrate 20th anniversary. I can't say enough good things about our tour and it's nice to be able to support small, local businesses that really go the extra mile for their customers.

We booked a day tour with Nigel via Email and he collected us at the cruise port. Thomas, his son, was our guide for the day. Thomas is a fun person to spend the day with and our party of 5 (4 adults and 1 kid) had a geat day at the Highland Experience Tour. He explained a lot during the tour and the time just flew by. Would definitely recommend!

Guide Allen was good. A very nice car, but 4 Americans (plus Allen) meant 3 in the backseat which was very crowded. I thought we saw a lot, maybe a bit too much. A lunch stop of 30 minutes would be better than a sandwich for 10 minutes at the Falls.

This was probably the most beautiful and adventurous way I could have gotten an introduction to Scotland, ever! A large part of that opinion is the guide himself. I was with Nigel and this guy is just a really cool person, who can talk about anything Scottish related and is also a really nice and intelligent man himself. I am really thankful I have gotten a Scotland tour with this man. Just a shame I can’t give a higher rating than 5 stars!!!

Nigel provided a very detailed itinerary and answered all questions promptly. We joined one other couple on May 14th fir a delightful day with our guide, Kevin. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and the history and kept us amused throughout the day. When we visited the battlefield & Outlander sites, he even shared some tips with other tours. We highly recommend Nigel's Invergordon Shore Excursions!
