Playing golf in Scotland has been a bucket list item for me. Prior to a recent cruise around the UK, I made advance arrangements with the Highland Tour Company for a private excursion to play golf while I was docked in Invergordon, near Inverness. Iain, the co-owner (with his son), planned a day to include a round of at a classic Scottish links course. He made all arrangements for a tee-time, club and cart rental, etc. He met me at the pier and accompanied me the entire day, including playing the round with me, concluding with a stop at a distillery for a tasting before returning me to the ship. I highly recommend working with the Highland Tour Company for anyone with similar aspirations to play golf in Scotland. In addition to golf outings, Highland offers various tours around Scotland, including one-day and multi-day day tours. Highland will put together an experience that is customized to your interests which will be enjoyable and unforgettable. They are a pleasure to work with. They get 5 stars easily from me.

I’d highly recommend using Highland Tour Company.

A friend and I decided on a last minute trip to Scotland and found Lewis and Highland Tour Company through a recommendation from our hotel. We reached out via email, and from the beginning they were very responsive and quickly put together a two day private itinerary for us that included beautiful scenery, walking around, and whisky tasting. Lewis was very knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. Their van was comfortable and they had water for us throughout the day. Lewis had great recommendations for lunch spots along the way.

They even were able to find us another driver for a day they were already booked.

The experience was one of best travel experiences I’ve had!

What an amazing day with Iain and Lewis on the Isle of Skye Tour! We needed a day off of golf in Inverness and the Highland Tour Company provided just what we needed. A comfortable and spacious van, easy to get into, with a great skyroof was our ride for the day. On time pick up and delivery with a nice paced tour throughout the day. Desired points of interest, landmark, historical facts and myths, and comfort stops gave us an interesting, beautiful and picturesque tour of the Isle of Skye. We felt safe and cared for all day on very difficult roads. Thanks for the extra special touch with amazing weather! 😁

We did a day long distillery tour with Iain and Lewis and couldn't recommend them enough! From the initial email Iain was super responsive and accommodating of our schedule and the logistics of picking us up and arranging our day.
The day itself was great fun and Iain and Lewis are wonderful hosts and guides and we really enjoyed our time with them. They also went above and beyond, taking us through town and showing us places to go and following up with an email full of recommendations.
I couldn't recommend them more highly for any of your touring needs in the area!

We used the Highland Tour Company for two tours, the Must See Inverness and Isle of Skye Tours. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable making the days comfortable, fun and interesting. Everything was perfectly timed no matter what it seemed we did and they were always accommodating. They were professional and we also appreciated their eco-friendly focus. We would use them again if we are lucky enough to come to Scotland again.
