My love, draw my nerves a little closer.
They could use your comfort. Fall out a bit -
Fill out the truth as you might as well, and
I am not much for lore. Keep me, to wit,
Or if you won't I'll swear myself off as
I may as well. I may as well. I may
Find another way but for now I may
As well know these tricks too well either way,
May as well swear fealty in your sweet sway
As swear away the means to fears allay.

A wee wooden cabin houses the visitor centre and information of local area and wildlife. Has a hot drink and snack/map vending machines. Info boards with history, wildlife, flora and maps positioned around the walls with a TV showing stills and a large model of the area takes pride of place in the centre of the room. If it's your first time to the area check out this place before you head off to explore.

I loved Loch Muick as such, had a smashing walk up Lochnagar snd round the lake. But thd visitors centre is not very well equipped if you want to buy something more than drinks. No postcard, no souveniers. But if you like expositions about local nature and animals is a place to visit

2023 09 20 is etched in my memory as a one-in-a-million day! Spittal of Glenmuick for most people is the starting point to bag Lochnagar and the surrounding hills. For us it was the day to bag Loch Muick. To swap the birds eye view from the mountain tops for the fish-eye view from the loch. All photos by Claire Young, "Lochbagger".

Great place, offers hot and cold drinks and some snacks. Worth a look inside at the information boards with details on local area.

This is also where you pay for parking, staff are friendly, and happy to answer questions, provide information on the local area.
