John was a fantastic tour guide! This is much more than transportation! He goes out of his way to make your time filled with knowledgeable recommendations and facts about the area. It was wonderful to not worry about our timeline and have him plan the entire day. His selection of local lunch was phenomenal! He also made other unplanned stops to show us beautiful sites we would have otherwise not discovered. Conversation flowed freely and it felt more like we were spending the day with a friend than a tour guide! 10 out of 10 would recommend and utilize again!

We were a group of friends staying in a local lodge. We originally booked for 10 people but on the day 20 decided to go , but John happily agreed to take us all , the largest group he has taken out. You meet in the high street and start with a tour around the town learning about its history and that of the local area . John is font of all knowledge and is very interesting and entertaining to listen to, and was happy to answer our endless questions. You then walk through the local community wood and learn the history of the Wade roads before walking back along the banks of the River Spey. We were very lucky as on our trip that we bumped into musician Hamish Napier who knew John and asked if we would like to hear him play, He kindly ran back to his house and picked up his flute to play a tune to us by the river , magical and a very special treat . The walk normally takes 2hrs and is all along flat ground , but we all did 10,000 steps though but because of all of our questions and our impromptu concert our walk took 3hrs but we loved it and at no point did John try and rush us. Its great value for money , and a fantastic way to spend a couple of hours and learn about the local area. Highly recommend

I spent the best day with John, who gave me a nice overview of Aviemore and Cairngorms National Park. The walks were filled with the most interesting facts, stopping once in a while to enjoy breathtaking views. 100% recommend!

We had an awesome time with John! From Loch Ness and the castle, to the historical Culloden Battlefield, the burial grounds of an ancient people and an Outlander scene, to an awesome Sheep herding demonstration. John was super friendly and knowledgeable about the sites, shops, places to eat and most importantly the history. John made great connections to our own U.S History in relation to the Battle of Culloden. Highly recommend John and we hope to be back for another awesome tour with him!

John was great to deal with. Prompt to my initial inquiry and then stayed in touch regularly until pick up day.

He was knowledgeable about the area, giving us insights you could never get from a guide book or website. He helped design the itinerary and gave recommendations to some distilleries we would have otherwise overlooked.

His van was modern, safe and clean (despite the rain on the day), his driving excellent. The day was well paced with enough time in between locations that we never felt rushed.

John gave us a wonderful history lesson on the area and also helped us with some genealogy research of our ancestors from the McIntosh family. We had a wonderful Ancestral tour with John. He is so knowledgeable about Scotlands history and specific to us the Grant Clan. He brought to life our ancestors! My favorite place we visited was the Rothiemurchus estate and cemetery. We will be back to visit the beautiful Highlands!
