Fantastic stay with Gunta and Shirley, they both couldn't do any more for you during the stay! We had everything we could possibly ask for from shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom to milk in our own fridge in the room.

Very homely with no issues of needing to be quiet or feeling awkward within her home. She made you feel at ease from the minute you stepped through the door.

Then to meals as you see from pictures these were high quality amazing food that definitely exceeded our expectations from past experiences at other guest houses but guntas beechwood lodge is a little bit of heaven with peace and tranquility thrown in!

Will definitely be back! Couldn't ask for more!

What a lovely peaceful place to stay. We were made to feel extremely welcome and our accommodation was clean, comfortable and left nothing to want for which was exactly what we needed after a very long drive. Gunta could not have been more helpful and whipped up a delicious evening meal for us . My partner's dietary requirements were understood and catered for . Thank you we hope to come and stay with you again

We had a two night break and it was outstanding . The room was immaculate and very cosy . Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had and the views out the lodge windows are incredible . But what made are stay so good was the kindness we received from Gunta . She did everything possible to make our stay the best it could be . Nothing was too much trouble . She made us feel welcome and it felt like we were at home . If you want a peaceful break away from reality , then this place is the place to be .

What a gem! Mike’s Country Cottage is everything you want in a self contained house with 3 full bedrooms. Ideally located just a short drive from a county village for supplies, this has everything to base yourself out of for day trips from Stirling in the South, through to Durness and John O Groats in the north. The cottage is clean and comfortable and well appointed with reliable Wifi. Communication with the host Gunta was great and she made us feel most welcome. It’s a 10/10 from me!

Another fabulous stay - so comfortable and Gunta and her team are so kind and welcoming - The rooms are well stocked with tea, coffee and biscuits. There is a fridge and wine glasses in your room. The house is dog friendly. Most importantly there are excellent supportive high quality beds . we are looking forward to our next visit .
