We spent two nights at Tulloch Castle in August.|Maybe we had too high expectations, but as a castle, we expected something kind of luxurious.|We did not find that at Tulloch Castle. |Our room was very simple, the quality of the matresses was not too good and we had some stains on the linnen.|Positive was that our luggage was carried by staff to our room in the third floor (as there is no elevator in the castle).|Dinner was good and breakfast as well.

Our stay was lovely. We liked the novel idea of staying in someplace that is technically a castle. The room was nice and clean and the bathroom was spacious and very clean. They didn't offer the info to us when we arrived, but we ended up walking ourselves around the hotel and found the reception desk person giving another couple a tour of the hotel and telling them the history -- I'd have been disappointed to have missed this, but I'm glad we got the info regardless that it wasn't offered to us. Had dinner and drinks in the Green Lady Lounge which was nice and had good food.

We stayed here 3 nights. Laura MacKay was the absolute best! She took care of any request. Our room was just inside the front door. Despite the location, it wasn’t too loud. The room was spacious and fully equipped with a tea pot and drink choices. The bed was luxurious. The restaurant service was impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful hotel, bursting with history.|Very welcoming and comfortable nooks and crannies to sit back and relax. Fantastic surroundings and views.|Rooms wonderfully clean and comfortable.|Laura on reception was truly helpful throughout our stay. She was able to set up a tour of the hotel for us which was absolutely wonderful. |Rodney gave us the most amazing tour, he gave us the best, most comprehensive in-depth guide, about the Davidsons ( Our Family Name) we could wish for! Thoroughly enjoyable experience!|Our food was superb, absolutely delicious. All the staff were very attentive and friendly.|We would love to return at a later date.

It was a wonderful and authentic castle experience!! The room was amazing!! We felt truly regal!The restaurants were very good too. I only wish it had a small fridge, but that wouldn't stop me from staying there again! The staff was friendly and accommodating!

We have had a lovely overnight at Tulloch Castle. The dinner and breakfast was very good. The staff have been very pleasant and friendly. There are a few wee things that could be improved but insignificant in the big scheme of things. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is not 4 star. It’s a bit in need of updates. Rooms are dated and our view was of a dirty courtyard where the workers smoked and they piled all of the dirty laundry ://. The dinner was NOT fine dining both food and service quality. It was not fresh as our 3 dinners came out within 15 minutes of ordering so it was apparent that some of it was pre made. The service while nice was just not at the caliber of the prices they are charging. |When we arrived we went to the pub. No one was there after waiting 10 minutes I went to the back and kept saying hello finally someone came out from eating and served us :/…. Again. It’s not bad but it’s not a four star experience from rooms and food and service. With so many other options close by I would not chose this place.

Perfect spot to stop in on our way north. Laura was so helpful arranging our arrival off the train, made everything run smoothly and suggested great walks into the countryside surrounding the castle. No ghosts in our wing but a brilliant sleep in comfortable beds.
