Wonderful museum spent almost 2 hrs there with my dad who is 92 and could have stayed all day.

So many memories flooding back at the huge amount of items on display.

Made all the more interesting by Pete and Joe, volunteers with the trust, both very knowledgeable and very welcoming.

Well worth a visit No charge but well worth a donation

We visited here while we were on holiday in the area. The staff were very friendly and were on hand to explain all about the various items.

There is a comprehensive collection of local and regional items.

It's not a huge building but it's quirky with several different areas including an upstairs room. The rooms are PACKED with things.

We spent about 40-50 minutes here and the museum was dog friendly too.

Perhaps something like a 'can you find an item which...' puzzle for each area might be nice. It was quite overwhelming not knowing where to look because there was so much in there!

As a non-local, I found the most interesting parts to be those which explained more specifically about the history of Dalbeattie and its people.

I think this a great museum. It is very interactive and my kids loved it because of this. Got to mention Ian who showed us around and was informative and great with letting my girls play with the different things they had on show. Really enjoyable hour or so looking around.

Love this place, volunteers so friendly and knowledgeable, willing to share their memories and little nuggets of local history. You literally could spend all day in here and not see the same exhibit twice! Special shout out for the railway station and Titanic exhibits with the local connection to First Officer Murdoch. Brilliant!

What an incredible museum, it looks quite small from the outside but it stretches back quite a bit and has an upstairs too, loads of interesting items and the 2 chaps who were volunteers were brilliant, my 7 year old daughter loved it, highly recommend and free!!
