Highly recommend! We had a fantastic stay- great location, Archie & Peter were more than accommodating & helpful! Very clean & secure/safe accommodation. Peter was happy to share info on finding local cuisine & sights of interest- would certainly return to explore more of this remote but enchanting isle. Really so much to see & do here- amazing fresh food selection, Scottish culture, beautiful sea- themed gifts, as well as Highland wool items, smoked salmon, pottery, etc. Uist is a hidden gem- and Uist Travel Accommodation is a wonderful place to stay- tonight we are going out to see if the Northern Lights are visible. Come visit!

We cannot rate this high enough. We are so pleased with our accommodation, the flexibility of Archie and Peter, the friendliness of Peter during our stay. Peter is a wealth of knowledge to fund everything on the island and find out if the way points of interest. We were stuck for two extra days due to poor weather/cancelled ferries. What a relief they were happy to accommodate us. The accommodation is very clean, spacious and well stocked kitchen. Even a washing machine! Easy to find location and very convenient to travel around north and south Uist, Benbecula, eriskay and supposedly Barr’s (poor weather curtailed our trips).

There is actually plenty to see and do on Uist (north and south). Please come and visit. You’ll be very pleased. We are.

Rooms were spotless, bedding smelt lovely, well designed kitchen with soft close cupboards, recliner sofa, dinner table, clean finishes and properly done, fused electricals. Host (Peter) was lovely with a good sense of humor. Nice big shower with easy temp control. Would defo stay again. Also fantastic place to stay if you were needing multiple nights for sure!

Very nice and quiet accommodation in a great location if you are sailing in or out of South Uist. Peter and Archie are very helpful and deal with any problem immediately. The rooms are nicely furnished, there is a very well equipped kitchen, the washing machine is a big plus.

We had a fantastic stay at this accommodation in South Uist! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful throughout our visit. We honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. Even after we had checked out, we felt completely comfortable calling them when we found ourselves in need of an extra night—and they were more than happy to help. They also supported us during a small emergency, kindly letting us use their facilities. It really made all the difference and showed how much they care about their guests. A truly welcoming and accommodating place—we’ll definitely be back!

Our campervan broke down and we were desperate for a last minute place to stay - very luckily we called Archie at UTA and he was happy to sort us a room. Due to it being the Easter bank holiday weekend the garage could only look at our car on the Tuesday - UTA was fully booked but Peter and Archie worked things out so that we could stay. They really went above and beyond. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and warm. Rooms and communal areas very well equipped. Peter was great to talk to (especially when we were very stressed about our campervan 😂). Though we will remember South Uist as where we lost our campervan, we will also have so many lovely memories due to UTA, Peter, the beautiful local beaches, and the other members of the south Uist community who were so helpful in our time of need! PS we managed to also leave our IPad behind when we left, Peter carefully packaged it up and sent it to our home and it was there for us waiting when we got back!
