I took my daughter and grandson on a trip out of St Mawes as a surprise. The experience didn’t disappoint. I have given a short description of the adventure below but Iain was punctual, had great communication skills, was highly professional and personable. We had immediate confidence in our skipper as we were taken through a thorough safety talk and description of how the rib was designed and operated. He made us feel comfortable and as the weather looked a bit changeable, even supplied waterproof trousers. We knew straight away we were in experienced and safe hands.
This was a private charter…but rather than suggest where we wanted to go we let Iain just use his knowledge to try and locate local wildlife. This paid off as he managed to home in on two different pods of dolphins and we were treated to close up viewings of many sea birds. Amazing.
Very happy grandson who Iain gave much time to (thank you).
We will be booking another adventure with Iain and cannot fault the experience. 10/10.

My wife and I took a fast RIB ride with August Rock Adventures. The captain (Iain) was amazing, making sure we were both happy with the safety equipment and briefing before we set off. We then headed out on an exhilarating 2 hour ride. Iain is a fountain of local knowledge and answered all of our questions about the local area and its heritage. We saw plenty of wildlife and even managed to see a large pod of dolphins which made our holiday. This is the best boat excursion on the South Coast so I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who enjoys being on the water.
We will definitely be back again next year.

We had the most amazing experience with Ian today, what a fabulous tour with such a knowledgeable and lovely guy. To see the area from the water was a real treat and the pods of dolphins was the icing on the cake. Great boat, great fun. Highly recommend.

This is the 2nd time we've booked with August Rock Adventures. Yet again we had a very enjoyable day particularly as this time we were able to take the helm, under instruction! Ian shared his incredible knowledge of the coastal history plus an insight into the RIB, it's construction and how safe it is. This time it was interesting to learn about reading the nautical map and the real bonus was finding a pod of dolphins. Thank you for an educational and fun morning on the sea. The Hammonds.

Had an amazing time off the coast of Falmouth with skipper Iain. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Choice of where to be picked up from and flexibility where we went. We chose to go out to sea a bit and rewarded with great wildlife experience. Multiple dolphins (which can be hit and miss whether see any or not) and we were very blessed to see shoals of tuna herding the smaller fish up. This was a uncommon event we were told. Trip would have been great without the wildlife but was definitely icing on the cake. Safe, all equipment provided and would definitely do again. Many thanks to Iain. Wonderful memories.

Iain gave us the most marvellous day, with for us a 10am start travelling through to an 8pm finish. Friendly ,adaptable and clearly very knowledge about the local fauna and wildlife we had a splendid day combining sighting of seals, dolphin and porpoises as well as, quite separately, some thrilling spins and rides. Safety was always paramount which did not curb the fun in anyway.

Ian is an amazing host/skipper and we have had a fantastic afternoon out on his RIB. Ian is very knowledgeable on the local history and area and it was great to hear detail about where we were. We said we were keen to see some wildlife and Ian patiently looked out and rode around until we found some dolphins which made the trip even more amazing.
I cannot recommend this trip highly enough, you get a personalised experience and a safe pair of hands. Thanks Ian! 😊
