Be careful using this Travelodge if you are using the car park. The parking terms and conditions are zealously enforced. I parked and paid and displayed my valid ticket. 10 days later I received a fine demanding payment due to as they say the posted terms and conditions were not complied with. I contacted the parking company and provided my valid parking ticket. They still implied I must pay the fine. I then had to provide more evidence (the hotel booking confirmation) before they waived the fine.
Be aware and avoid if possible.

Had I had more time and options I would steer clear of this place. It being opposite and within easy reach of the airport terminal is its only positive. The room, albeit spacious, lacked character and warmth. No bath mat to step on when exiting the shower. Supremely over-priced and I feel Travelodge are exploiting people who don’t know the area and have early morning flights. Much cheaper places further afield but the taxi fare would be worth it and a damned-sight cheaper than this mausoleum.

Perfect for one night. 5 minute walk to the airport. We did meet and greet at the airport, dropped off our car, did twilight check in and the walked to the travel lodge with hand baggage. There is a carvery restaurant about 10 minute walk away. Check in was fine. Typical travel lodge. Please travel lodge, change your policy on WiFi and just provide it for free like other hotels in the area.

We stayed here the night before flying out on Holiday, the hotel itself is basic but acceptable however what really let's it down is the car parking. ||When we arrived there were multiple signs indicating the cost and that you needed to pay and display your ticket which I did, upon checking in the receptionist asked if we had paid for parking and I stated that yes we had used the machine outside.||The receptionist was then focused on us leaving a review and failed to mention that on top of paying and displaying their is a machine inside that you need to register on. ||Thanks to this mistake I was then left with a parking ticket that took over 2 months of back and forth and appeals to get quashed. ||A simple mention from the receptionist would have avoided this , and this is apparently normally done as when my mother stayed on a later date they were advised of this. ||This should be part of the checking In process

Booked the room for one night due to an early flight the next day. The young lady on reception was very friendly and engaged alot with us. She gave us recommendations on where to go for food and drinks. All in all a very pleasant experience. Would definitely use again without a doubt.

It's a travelodge, so don't expect anything else but very basic, its 2 storeys high with no lift, but as a spritely 78 yr old , lugging up 2 cases at 22 kgs each up 2 flights of stairs , was not easy, as for the car park, the signs state ,no dropping off ,or picking up or a £100 charge, its an Hotel, for gods sake, the girl on the desk informed us you get 15 minute's from going into the car park, to park your car, get your cases out and into reception, check in, luggage the cases up to the 2nd floor ,abandon them, run back to your car and escape, absolutely ridiculous.
How old infirm people manage that I don't know.
Good point, its a 10 minute walk to the terminal, but we ordered a taxi to take us , it cost £7.50, worth it, if its raining.

Not great. You are welcomed with a sign warning of fines and stating 'no stopping, picking up or dropping off' . Had to park elsewhere and struggle over with suitcases and wheelchair. Only once inside did i see a notice that you coukd obtain some kind of 15 minute pass.

No bar or anywhere to get any refreshments other than a vending machine . No pub or shop close by.

Rooms ok and the one staff member I saw was nice

Make sure you read the terms and conditions. This hotel changed my location at 4pm on the date of arrival due to a flood the previous day. The alternative offered was totally unsuitable but they said they are within their rights to change location. No refund offered. I complained and they gave me 50% as a gesture of goodwill. Stayed here many times before but will stay in future just up the road. Shame as it's so convenient for the airport
