We booked a windsurfing taster here for a group of 6 teens while on holiday in nearby Matlock Bath. Meg & Dan the instructors were great before the day in organising a suitable session, very flexible, then they gave the kids a brilliant afternoon to remember! They were enthusiastic and friendly, everything felt safe & well planned, they had fun but the kids actually learnt alot and went from being total beginners to looking like windsurfers in a few hours! It inspired them enough to definitely want to windsurf again.

The sailing club itself is a great setup, beautifully situated on Carsington Water (the parents had a nice stroll round while the kids did some initial practise on land) and a great clubhouse with terrace where we had drinks and snacks. Meg & Dan threw in a halftime hot chocolate for the windsurfers before a last blast on the water, which was a lovely touch and much needed! Facilities such as changing rooms were all great and importantly very good kit (wetsuits). We'd definitely recommend the experience and just wished we lived closer to try out more of the courses available, sailing etc. It was a highlight of our Easter holiday!

CSC offers excellent opportunities for sailors, their friends and family. As a member here I can confirm the sailing club has a welcoming atmosphere, excellent training opportunities, and a large club house and cafe/galley. This, combined with the large water and reassurance of safety boat cover, make it a fantastic location for any level of sailor, winger, windsurfer or SUPer. Enjoy!

It was open day so plenty of things to keep people happy, there was a pop up burger bar which were really tasty and freshly cooked to order 😁👍

A fantastic sailing club, spent the last 2 weekends completing RYA Sailing qualifications. Thoroughly enjoyed the courses, the club is very welcoming, and the instructors were friendly, professional, and the best outdoor course I have been on. Recently completed RYA Level 2 in Sailing and Level 2 in Powerboating. Fantastic courses, plenty of time on the water - great, patient instructors and brilliant facilities. Would definitely recommend Carsington Sailing Club.
