I spoke to this lady about booking a taxi to take us to a restaurant in Matlock and her and her husband couldn't have been more helpful. We were on holiday, staying in a cottage just along from them and they were were very helpful in suggesting places to visit. the lady drove us to Matlock herself and gave me the details to contact their driver to arrange collection when we were ready. Really nice couple and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. taxi's were clean and prices very reasonable

Not a good experience with this company at all. Booked a taxi to do 3 drops from Matlock to Alfreton area, taxi was 15 minutes early which meant we couldn't get any supper and the driver was very sarcastic when we suggested he was early..... would never chose to use this company again, I think they have the advantage of local drops late at night! Avoid using if possible.

Doesn't deserve the 1 star... Booked a taxi to get my son with his head cut open to hospital, late so phoned to see where the taxi was, got told was probably caught up in the traffic, stood waiting still, then still complete no show, and ignored the PHONE AFTERWARDS. STAY WELL CLEAR. Utter useless waste of spaces. I'm reporting them to the council. Shouldn't have taxi badges, licences or a business.

Another part time Matlock Taxi outfit....
Tried to organise a pre arranged morning pickup, but met with the most mad filled rant from some crazed woman going berserk about the school runs...?!!!! I genuinely didn't know, & thought my enquiry was polite, professional & entirely harmless in asking... How wrong I was.. Even more incredible, I regretfully asked what time the 'school runs' were completed & the possibility of arranging a pick up then... Sounds harmless & innocent.. Not to this lady... 'Not a chance before 10' - wow!! Frightening to think what times the schools start in Derbyshire.. If you're looking for a good education for your child, then Derbyshire isn't the place. I gather they start lessons just before lunch... & I know they finish before 15.30hrs - not much time to teach, but more than plenty in ensuring they get there in time - all morning in fact!!!!
So the moral of contacting this company is: Never ask for morning pickups, & be prepared to take an earful from one of the most unprofessional service industry people alive...
