Stayed for 1 night as we were visiting friends. Quick check in. Friendly staff.|The hotel was lovely. The room we had was lovely, spacious spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfy. We were on the lower ground floor and it was very quiet despite the hotel having a function on.|A star less due to not having a disabled parking space. I think 3 spaces for the size of the hotel is a bit of an oversite. However the staff sorted a space closest to the hotel.|Would stay again.

Firstly let me say that the staff were brilliant and very helpful so please whatever I say in this review it is not a reflection on the great staff. |Even after the hotel’s renovation this year I remember why I stopped coming here. For the price you have to pay it is certainly not worth it. Yes I had to book via booking com. As I normally book directly but their website said it was fully booked but I managed to get a room via booking com. After checking that the price was comparable I noticed that for £152 for one night was quite expensive for what you got. The room was smaller than a single bedroom at home, no fridge, no water, no juice all what I normally get at this hotel. I am a IHG member and I understand that I may not get these things when booking via another website but come on, !|Yes the room was clean but after a renovation you would expect usb or plug points at the bedside. You would expect the ceiling not to be peeling , you would not expect a oil heater in the room, you would not expect a view of a bus out the window |As I said the staff are great but this hotel is not worth the money. You don’t even get WiFi without entering your email and details…… why?|Even writing this now in the room I have noticed part of the wall breaking up ||My advice is look elsewhere

Booked for one night as visiting NEC. Good location for town centre bars and restaurants. Bar and restaurant very nice, lovely breakfast. However the hotel needs seriously updating. Room was comfortable but dated and shabby in places. Windows are rotten, needs money spent on it.

Gem of a hotel, absolutely loved our stay, we had a suite with mini bar lovelylittletouches. Hotel has been refurbished so everything clean and fresh. Staff were very friendly especially breakfast (thank you for the donuts) breakfast plentiful. ||Evening menu was great, they have an amazing 3 course offer in the bar, food hot, fresh, good quality. Swimming pool ample. ||Most importantly had a great sleep, no noise issues, had windows open all night felt very relaxed. ||Definitely 4 star experience for us. For me this felt on par with a Marriott.

I have stayed on and off here throughout the year and I have had my problems with the Hotel. ||It was always a first choice for me as being a Platinum Member of IHG. And yes the refit has improved a lot of things, however the rooms esp the one on 412-17 are a bit drab. ||I am not gonna go into major details it will take far too long. ||The hotel is aware of my views. Without putting it on Trip advisor for all to see. ||Staff to be recognised at Ahmed, and Liliane, these two work like trojans to keep the hotel running. And I have a great rapport with both and NOTHING is too much trouble for them and they will assist as best they can in any circumstance. ||The service staff in the breakfast room work very hard and should always be recognised for their hard work. ||I shall be back to the hotel but prob not this year. ||Thanks

We booked a room at the hotel for a business meeting. The outside of the hotel is a little scruffy but inside it's been newly refurbished and is very nice. Our meeting room was very good and the lunch provided was also good. We had a good meeting. It wasn't until a few days later that the shine started to come off the experience as the hotel has chosen to get into bed with Parking Eye. Neither myself or my colleagues who arrived separately noticed any signage regarding the need to register our vehicles with reception and neither did the reception staff ask whether we'd arrived by car. Of course, we all received a Parking Charge Notice and had to go through the process of copying them to the hotel to get them cancelled. No apology from the hotel just a terse email. So, BEWARE they have Parking Eye in their car park. If an apology had been received we'd consider using them again, but as it stands we won't.

Good...and not so good.||Firstly, we were advised three days before we went|"The Holiday Inn Bromsgrove is currently undergoing refurbishment of the public area spaces, The Bar lounge is currently closed and operating from the restaurant and Fairfield suite".|Well, the bar was open, so that was misinformation. We actually had a drink in it on Friday. The barman (can people stop calling the servers behind the bar 'bartender'? We are not in the US of A) needed to go to the charm school. He was as miserable as sin throughout. No smiles when serving, just a glum face. I had a 0.0% Guinness and asked whether he could put it through the new contraption. He said it was only for the alcoholic version. Well, I later saw there was also a version for the non-alcoholic Guinness round the other side of the bar.|At 11.15 we wanted a final drink, only to be told the bar was closed. We said that he hadn't called last orders. He said that he had been to all the tables to tell people that. Well, there were five at our table, and all agreed that he hadn't. He nonetheless told his colleague, who seemed more senior, that he had. She was most unprofessional, shouting across the bar to one of our party " you've probably had enough to drink." |That was the not so good. Now, the good. Other staff, particularly on reception and in the restaurant, were friendly. The cooked breakfast was very good. The hotel was also very clean and generally well maintained, although the lift was a bit temperamental.
