Such a beautiful setting in an area full of Roman history. We loved staying in the Yurt and having wonderful views of the countryside. The outdoor shower was bliss, to be under the tree canopy. We really enjoyed the lessons about the local plant medicine and woodland survival skills. The outside grill and pizza oven all added to the experience. We loved every minute! Thank you!

What an amazing camp site! We had a lovely stay in the Family Field which was quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. The fire pits and locally produced wood helped keep the chill off in the evenings and we picked up a bag of their charcoal to cook dinner too. The village isn't too far to walk if you fancy a pint and a meal at the George, it need to pick something up from the shop. We highly recommend this camp site and will be coming back to try one of their glamping sites next time.

Stayed here last week. Fantastic small and quiet campsite. Our kids instantly made friends with the children from the other lovely families on the site, then explored the field, the tee pee and went looking for kingfishers. This campsite is totally basic - No phone reception (bliss), a long drop toilet, an al fresco shower (the highlight of my stay), lovely staff and great company from our fellow campers. We'll be back.

A hidden treasure, simply beyond words. The hosts make you feel at home—Emma and the team are simply amazing— the lodges are super clean, the kitchen is well equipped, and anything else you need, you will find meters away at the lodge shop (super fair prices).

If you’re thinking twice about booking: don’t, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Thank you Emma and the team. We will definitely see you again!

The toilets cost a star, perhaps two.
The woodburner makes everything smell like smoke, so I wonder how well maintained it is. But we loved the place, with really nice landscapes around. Nice pubs nearby and overall nice people in the neighborhood

We’ve stayed at Glottenham castle 2 years in a row, we’ve tried both yurts and absolutely loved our stay on both occasions. Suzie is lovely, very welcoming and helpful. The setting is beautiful and the yurts are well equipped. We will return again another year once we’ve explored around the U.K. a bit more.

12th castle ruins around the field perimeter. The moles bring up Roman coins. Compost toilets and long drop toilets and a hot outdoor power shower. Can't ask for more.
