We recently returned from 5 nights camping and unfortunately we found the site highly over-priced and over-rated for what is on offer. The showers are filthy and there is no control over the water temperature. It was scolding and too hot for my children. The shower has a push tap that you had to push every 5 seconds to get (the scolding) water. It was very uncomfortable to shower. In addition, the shower units were really dirty, brown stained and the curtains full of mould. The camp pitches have about a meter between each, which I'm sure is illegal (I'm certain 5 meters gap is the law), but also you hear everything your neighbours are doing/talking about. We felt hemmed in with no privacy. Just over the hedge next door is a garden landscaping firm that starts their very loud heavy machinery first thing in the morning which drones for an hour or two, then the noise starts up again at the end of the day. It's headache inducing and not the peaceful camping we'd hoped. Lastly, we had to change our booking date (about two months prior to camping), we were able to as the dates were available, but we were charged £20 for the privilege of being able to change the date. considering the 5 nights camping were already £45 a night, so nearly £250 paid already, it was galling to be charged the admin fee on top for a 2 minute admin job. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place and wasn't interested in eating in the cafe on site after visiting the showers. Nibbles, another cafe a 5 minutes walk away is amazing 🙂

Saw on Google that they did self launch for £5. Rang in the morning and was told no problems for a self launch as they were quiet. On arrival staff were really friendly, gave advice as to which way to Kayak on the river. We had a coffee first and the price was reasonable but the coffee was lovely. After our 3 hours on the water we decided to have lunch in the cafe. There was a good choice of food and prices were reasonable. I had the burger stack which I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall we had a great day out. The staff were really friendly, courteous and efficient. Well worth a visit.

Stopped for something to eat as it had been recommended. Lovely atmosphere with nice music and the food was really tasty. More on the pricey side but the menu is different to your normal menus and the food is really fresh. Loved the r music playing, made it feel like we were abroad on holiday. |Would definitely go again.

Fabulous service, great staff, delicious food and paddle boards/kayaks to hire. Lovely garden, showers to use if you've been on the river or camp with them. A wonderful venue, highly recommend.

I cannot thank Izzy and the team enough. Just back from the most wonderful camping weekend. All of the staff went out of their way to make myself and my husband and friends feel so at home and well cared for. Nothing was too much trouble and every member of staff radiated the values and ethos Vanessa and Will have created. The food, music, camping and amenities were all you could want for a weekend off grid and in amongst their little oasis. Thank you again Bodiam!

Bodiam Boating Station has been a frequent visit for my family and friends since I was little. The facilities are always clean, food is yummy and the staff are friendly and helpful. We do always like to hire a Kayak and go down the river which, if the weather is nice, is an absolute favorite
