Amazing and beautiful park for walks with your dog. It has a lot to offer not only to pet owners but also to parents or anyone who enjoys nature 2h free parking included but remember to take a ticket even for free period.
There are at least 2 cafe points there, these are a bit pricey but they have good coffee.

Cassiobury Park is Watford’s largest and most popular public park, offering over 190 acres of beautiful green space for everyone to enjoy. Once part of the estate belonging to the Earls of Essex, the park has a rich history and is now a much-loved destination for locals and visitors alike.

The park features a wide range of facilities including children’s playgrounds, a splash pool, café, sports courts, and picnic areas. It’s perfect for walking, cycling, jogging, or just relaxing in nature. The park’s wooded areas and open fields provide a peaceful setting all year round.

One of the park’s highlights is the Grand Union Canal, which runs alongside it, offering scenic waterside walks, wildlife spotting, and the occasional narrowboat cruising past. It adds a quiet charm and makes the park feel like a countryside escape in the middle of town.

Another favourite attraction is the Watford Miniature Railway, a small train that gives children and families a fun ride through the park. Seasonal events and family activities are often held here, especially during the summer.

With its mix of nature, history, and recreational activities, Cassiobury Park is a perfect place to unwind, explore, and enjoy the outdoors — a true green heart of Watford.

Lovely and clean park. Good for running, walking your pets, or just chilling. Quiet and serene with lots of seating areas and a small play area for kids. There's also a canal there with a mini waterfall that looks nice.

I visited many times in this park with kids. In summer this is full of people. Also this park has free parking, but this is limited for 2 hours. There are lots of playing equipment for kids. Also this park has the restroom and small cafeteria to celebrate the small party. In summer, evening view is very beautiful. This park also has the small canal and you can also enjoy the fishing. I recently went here in Fun fair to enjoy the summer.

This park is beautiful and well-maintained, with free parking for up to two hours. It has a cafe, toilet facilities, and is accessible to everyone. There’s a canal with many water features, walking trails, and a large field where kids can play sports or families can enjoy a picnic. It also has kids train and a playground. Pet friendly for your dog’s walk. The park is only a 10-minute walk from Watford station if you’re taking public transport. It’s a great spot to relax and have fun!

Cassiobury Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Watford, very close to the town centre. Has an open gym, football and rugby fields, cricket square in the summer. An excellent pathway for a walk, run or bike ride up to and besides the Grand Union Canal. Water play area for the kids. Can’t forget to mention the lovely Cha Cafe and the new Cafe towards the other end. Plenty of parking and free for 2 hours.

It was my first visit to the park. I was surprised how much there was to do. Lots of fun for the kids of all ages. The little train was a surprise and £3 was great value for the length of time you are on it.
The splash park closed during the afternoon. Not sure why?
There were many other water activities by the small river flowing through.
I will be back in the Autumn to see the trees as I'm sure it will be beautiful by the canal.
