We used Ian Bettley at Billinge Travel for Feb 2025 cross-country trips to and from Crewe and Chester. He provided a totally efficient and reliable service; always on time or early. Excellent.

He was reliable, efficient, and a stand up guy. He’s a little pricier than an Uber but he works for himself and the service was much better than an Uber, so I’d say it’s worth it!

Charged my 85 year old mother £45 for a return trip from Little Budworth to Tarporley dentist which is considerably more than any other local firm that she has previously used. She was dropped off (with poor mobility) at the Spar garage and expected to struggle walking to the Oaklands practise, as he said he wanted to turn off to go home 😡
Disgusted at the treatment of my mother.

I have found Ian incredibly reliable since we moved into the area a year ago. I use Ian mainly for work and he has never let me down. Car is always very clean and he is welcoming and smartly dressed.

I’ve used this taxi quite a number of times and have always experienced first class service. Polite, courteous and so reliable which is incredibly important to me. Usually arrives a little bit early and very flexible at short notice.

We called one evening to book a taxi ride from Tarporley to Chester the next morning for 1030 so we could make a noon train. He informed us that he had another job and thought he could likely pick us up around1115 which should be enough time, but to call him in the morning to confirm. We said ok, but were not feeling too confident in being actually picked up on time, so called around and found another taxi service. We called this fellow back in the morning and told him a pickup would not be required. He proceeded to yell at my wife over the phone and that we needed to pay a cancellation fee. After asking him how we would even pay a cancellation fee, he said he would arrive at the 1030 pickup time. He did in fact show up at 1020 while we were outside waiting for another taxi. Because we were just trying to enjoy our vacation, I told him i would pay a 20 pound cancellation fee but that it was unfair and that he had certainly not been clear. He then proceeded to argue and yell at me, while I walked away from him (with my infant daughter strapped to my chest). I can't say if he will get you where you want to go on time or not, but he is angry and belligerent old man who treats customers like dirt and I would highly recommend that you avoid Billinge travel.
