I joined the W+W one week surf camp in Newquay and I found it so cool. Everything was perfectly arranged, we had surf sessions once per day, based on the best conditions for our level, surf theory on different topics, surf skate sessions, an amazing trip to Bristol’s The Wave and nice coastal walks with beautiful views of Cornish landscapes. We had two wonderful coaches, Elana and Elaine. I really liked their approach and the way they accompanied our progress and explained what we could improve, both during the class and after it, during the video-analysis. They are really knowledgeable, friendly and encouraging and I feel that their suggestions could really help me progress. I had a great time sharing all of these moments with an incredible group of ladies. I really recommend W+W and I can’t wait to join another trip.

Just back from the Secret Morocco trip which was amazing and more than I imagined it would be. Met an amazing group of women who all progressed their surf skills so much over the week. Elana was the perfect host, keeping us up to date with daily plans, helping us with our technique and capturing some great footage.

Couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Hands down the best decision I’ve made in my 40s so far! The whole experience of travelling as part of a group makes me never want to travel in any other way ever again. Our merry band of eleven hopeful surfers were welcomed by our trip leader Rob, whose many years experience of elite level coaching meant that we all truly refined our skills - for me, a total novice, that meant simply standing up and catching some waves. Hurrah! But it was the way Women+Waves connected with local experts that really made the trip what it was. We had Cam, a Frenchie but Bali resident for several years, who was our go to for any local insights - from where to buy the best zinc cream to who served the best gelato and crucially where to catch the best sunsets, Bintang in hand. She was the heart of the group, always checking in on us individually to make sure we had everything we needed. Then we had Rundy aka Aquaman_Bali (follow him on Insta!) who was the resident expert of the waves themselves, having surfed in Bali for years. He was responsible for capturing the all important drone footage on every single surf, which was an incredible way to look back and analyse each surf to help us improve. He made every single one of us look like action heroes on the water - no mean feat considering I have no grace on a surf board whatsoever. I’m working on it! So big up to Women+Waves and their amazing team. I can totally see why people book themselves on another trip immediately after returning from one. See y’all on the waves!

I had such an amazing time in Cornwall with Women + Waves. I loved having female surf coaches. Elaine and Elana were super supportive, professional, and friendly. It was my first trip to Newquay and Cornwall and such a good way to get introduced to the waves and the town. We had a great mix of beginners and other women who had surfed before but wanted to keep learning. Everyone was so supportive. They provide everything (wetsuits, boards, etc). I even signed up last minute and had no problem joining.

Could not have wished for a better group of women and a better trip lead—Elana! 😍🌊
Everything was so well organized and researched. The video analysis after each surfing day was a massive help to improve our skills and become more aware of how to work on technique.
The surfing coaches were amazing too.
I have never been on a surfboard before and managed to catch a few small green waves on my last day—definitely a win!
Can’t wait to do more surfing! 🤍🌊🏄🏼‍♀️

Wow, what an EPIC weekend with Women and Waves for their Water Women weekend! I honestly can't recommend them enough.

Being in and by the sea makes my soul happy, so I knew this weekend would be pretty fabulous and it absolutely surpassed that! Elaine, Randi and Cara were wonderful, so welcoming and helpful - we had a good old giggle all weekend. The rest of the ladies on the trip were so lovely and supportive, which meant attending solo was so easy and fun. So many incredible memories made (paddleboarding during sunrise for one!) and new skills unlocked. Oh and the FOOD! A very happy and nourished soul here indeed.

After the weekend finished I booked in for another surf lesson with Jack at the Newquay Activity Centre and had a blast, progressing even more.

If you're thinking about booking with W+W please don't hesitate, the whole weekend was gorgeous and I can't wait to go back for more. Xxx

Just got back from the Secret Morocco surf trip with Women and Waves and wow—what a dream! The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. The surf spot was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the vibes were full of positive energy.

Big shoutout to Elana, our W+W host—she was the absolute best. Super welcoming, full of good energy, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and supported no matter their surf level. You could really tell she loves what she does, and it made such a difference.

I met some incredible women, ate delicious food, and pushed myself in the water just the right amount. I can’t recommend this trip enough if you’re looking for an empowering surf getaway in an epic location. I am already thinking about my next Women and Waves adventure!

Just back from a fabulous women and waves weekend in stunning Newquay. I have always loved the sea, and the women and waves team ensured that our group enjoyed it to the full over the two day course. We fitted in an early morning swim, surfing, rock pooling, shopping, coastal walking, paddle boarding and lots of yummy food. Elaine, Randi and Cara took great care of us. It was a pleasure to spend time with them and the group. I will definitely be checking out future events.
