A lovely spot to hang out, especially on a sunny day. The scenery is beautiful and there are plenty of trails to explore, making it a great place for a walk or just to relax in nature. It’s also very dog-friendly, which makes it an even better choice if you’re bringing your four-legged friend along. A really enjoyable place to spend a few hours outdoors.

This is a beautiful place and we loved the surroundings. Unfortunately, many dog owners had left poo bags along the paths and in the bushes. It was unpleasant and unhygienic, especially with my two-year-old daughter trying to pick them up. It only takes a moment to dispose of waste properly. Please respect this lovely place for everyone’s sake.

Lovely area for a walk and very popular. Plenty of well marked walking routes, along with some off the beaten track ones. You could definitely spend a full day exploring the area! Get there early as the carpark fills up quickly.
The Wizard Edge is a must after exploring.
The car park is national trust, so free to members or takes card for none members

The kids had a great time exploring the woods and the cave, we used the natural play area and had a drink and cake at the Wizard Tea Room.
