I had a fantastic morning with Sarah visiting Chelsea area.

I like the structure of the tour, it was a small group with an informal attitude, it felt almost touring with a friend rather than an official guide.

The tour focused on the contemporary history and stories of the neighbourhood with personal references from the host’s life, something you will not find on history books.

In addition to historical aspects, information about interesting properties along the walking route were shared for the one’s who were interested.

Overall it was a great walk, for the people who want to get a deeper understanding of this neighbourhood, I can highly recommend this tour.

If you are looking for a more traditional tour, I suggest you contact the host to discuss the itinerary beforehand.

Bespoke Private Tour 18.03.2024.

Sarah's delivery & style, and the fact that she knows more than the history of Chelsea (not working off a script, like many trained guides) is of great importance.

When I reflected on my experience, in a relatively short amount of time, Sarah provided a huge amount of content, which when I think about it, was down to the Walking & Talking element i.e. No time wasted regrouping after parking up, relaying meet points etc. In comparison, I learnt far less in a 4hr (driving) tour around Athens.

The experience was a 2 way conversation, fun, relaxed/peaceful, not preachy, and as mentioned above, covered extensive history that helped shape the city & country. As a Londoner, I know London is steeped in history, however, I had no depth or detail to it. When you stop, look, and take in what's right in front of you, it's surreal.

P.S. We stopped and tasted different cheeses, and also visited the Chelsea Physic Garden, London oldest botanic garden.

Excellent History of Chelsea Tour!

The tour guide, Sarah, is delightful, very knowledgeable and engaging. We began walking through the Cadogan Estate redevelopment of independent stores and coffee shops; we explored hidden back streets, beautiful architecture, spacious gardens and learnt so much about the area.
I highly recommend this tour as an interesting introduction to Chelsea.
Plus once the tour has finished you’re in great place for shopping and eating.

A whole new way to experience Chelsea! The tour was filled with endless fun facts, hidden secrets and beautiful corners. It was intimate and friendly, perfect if you’re visiting London alone and would like a friendly guide as Sarah is lovely company! A wonderful way to spend two hours in this beautiful part of London.

The private tour with Sarah was excellent, and as she grew up there, she isn't an ordinary tour guide but has deep intimate knowledge of the area. I learnt so much about the history of Chelsea, lots of really fun and engaging facts, plus some fascinating stories about famous and historical local residents.

I really recommend it for overseas visitors who want to learn about the heritage of this beautiful part of London.

My Pollen and Reid tour was simply extraordinary. I can honestly say that my experience on this tour was the highlight of my trip to London. It exceeded my every expectation. What a magical couple of days! Sarah organized an extraordinarily detailed itinerary catering to my interests allowing a truly bespoke tour of London. She obviously extended hours of effort in accomplishing this itinerary. Sarah’s and Ari’s knowledge, personality, kindness and effort was just wonderful and they made me feel at home in their lovely city. As an example of the bespoke nature of this tour, I am a fan of the rock group Queen and classic rock in general and aware of this passion, they arranged to take me to Freddie Mercury’s home, a Queen exhibit and Jimmy Page’s home. As a Physician, they took me to a fascinating Herbal Medicinal Garden. I also enjoy fine dining and high end shopping and the establishments they chose were emblematic of their class and refinement, representing the best of London. I am certain that no other tour company would have met my wishes like my Pollen and Reid tour. As I ponder my next travel destination and with the whole world to explore, I find myself gravitating back to London to again experience an enchanting, entertaining and informative tour with Pollen and Reid Bespoke Tours. There have been only a few times in my life where my expectations have been so profoundly exceeded and I will always cherish and remember the precious few days on my Pollen and Reid Tour. A fascinating and informative tour of a local area in London; I learned lots of things that I did not previously know about Chelsea; this included information about the architecture, famous people and historical events, and anecdotes.

I would really recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys walking and getting to know an area in London that has hidden secrets and concealed stories. You definitely do not have to be a tourist to appreciate exploring the streets of London of a weekend! It was also lovely to meet and get to know others on the tour who came from different backgrounds and nationalities. Thank you Sarah - I would love to come again.
