We thoroughly enjoyed a visit to Chevithorne Barton today. The quercus collection was the jewel in the crown. Especially the number of different oaks growing together and the element of promiscuity that may result from that. Amongst the oaks that is. William Wood “head gardener “was really welcoming and so enthusiastic. He and his partner were friendly and showed us some of their work in developing the collection of oaks. Such a worthwhile job. Lovely people and the whole garden is a delight. Thank you to the Heathcoat Amory family for allowing us to see their gardens. So kind. Best wishes. Kathleen and Michael Wright.

Een van de beste collecties Quercus in Europa. Mooie volgroeide bomen en veel (minder winterharde) zeldzaamheden. Soms ontbreekt de naam bij de bomen.
