Not sure whether there was a mistake or just a crazy fee on converting currency.

Few weeks ago we came in and changed up £715 to BGN in which we where given 1500BGN. Was happy with it as it seemed to be about right according to when we went bulgaria a few years ago. Then when we came home and we checked conversion rates…

£715 = 1689 BGN

We where given 1500BGN which is equivalent to £634.

I know the price fluctuates so this isn’t exact but there and around, I can go back to the exact date and calculate if needed but just showing as an example of what happened to us. We weren’t told of ANY fees whatsoever (although expecting some) but around £80 on a £700 transaction is insane ! That’s £80 just gone before even starting your holiday ! 😂

Why not just charge £634 and give the correct amount ?

If you need great service and support for your holiday go to HAYS TRAVEL. The service by there agent JENNY was outstanding helping to book FLIGHTS, HOTEL,TRANSPORTATION. to and from the airport in America. Nothing is to much trouble. Don’t just book a holiday book a HAYS holiday go see JENNY.

Much improved in recent years. No longer is it necessary to get the best bargains off Teletext or the Internet. Just pop into Thomas Cook and let them do all the work. I've found their prices match up to some of the best bargains I've found elsewhere. It is good to meet them face to face, but they are happy to deal with you over the phone too. Not used their Foreign Exchange, so can't comment on that.

We visited Braintree Hays Travel today to enquire about booking a holiday. We were greeted by Sarah who was extremely helpful and patient with us as we were not sure what we wanted. We came away with a lovely holiday booked with the help of Sarah who was so friendly and helpful. Will certainly use them again.

The young ladies in this shop go above and beyond to help .
My friend and I have booked holidays with them several times and they are patient.kind and very helpful . They don't mind how many questions you ask of them and are happy to help us with anything we need to do online .
Will use this shop in Braintree again and recommend it to everyone . Well done
