Peaceful and well kept with a large deer herd, nice walks and plenty of activities: small train, Go Ape, pedal go-kart rental, canoeing, archery, axe throwing. Note that these are all at extra cost and some need to be pre-booked.

Castle (really a stately home rather than a traditional castle) is imposing but unfortunately very little beyond the main staircase is open to the public. Seems like a missed opportunity and it was a shame not to be able to explore it properly.

One star lost because of a couple of little niggles: litter bins almost non-existent, car parking very expensive (flat rate of £8.50).

A wonderful day out for all of all ages. We were impressed that whilst there was an £8 parking charge everything else was free. The site is comprised of a castle with park & gardens, the ruins of a Norman (and earlier) Abbey/Monastery, a petting farm, adventure playground & much more. Plenty of cafes & toilets. A must attend if in the area.

A lovely park.

The castle was closed when we visited, but the surrounding parkland is beautiful.

Didn't get to go around everything but it was a pleasant stroll around.

Food was tasty and reasonably priced.

Me, my daughter and my friends had a lovely day at Margam park. We had a great ride with the train. The playground was beautiful, my daughter had fun playing there. The fairy park was nice as well. There are so many things to do, visit the farm, rent a bicycle, have food and much more. I definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Beautiful park that you could spend hours enjoying.

We enjoyed the fairytale playground the adventure playground, feeding the ducks and other farm animals.

We ate some hot chips and had icecreams and there was picnic benches and toilets everywhere.

Nice gift shop, unfortunately didnt get a chance to go inside the castle.

We hired mobility scooters for my elderly parents and it was great and the scooters were brilliant.

Pay to park the car and nothing else to pay. The grounds are extensive and there are good paths through.

Loads of things to do and see, including animals, gocarts and beautiful grounds.

What a truly fantastic family facility! We took our daughter and dog here for a morning and ended up spending most of the day! The staff were all so helpful and polite, the whole place has been so well maintained and is clearly well loved!

I was gobsmacked to learn that there is disquiet over the £8.50 parking fee - the woke way around week were saying how much the place is unde selling itself - for the first time in a long time we were very lkeasently surprised by just how good value for money the whole experience was - I can without hesitation recommend this place!!

Amazing country park!

Alot to explore and roam with different paths, trails and buildings aswell as all the other nature elements.

The fairytale village is a fun little attraction for the kids aswell as the park itself.

The castle was definitely nice to take in with the surrounding beautiful scenery. We stumbled upon a craft market within the building aswell.

Didn't fully understand why the church had a £1 photography fee if you wanted to take any pictures inside.

The parking charge was reasonable, and the train that goes from the castle grounds to the carpark definitely helps especially for little legs. (Just make sure you queue early as it's small and dosent host many guests)

Hope to visit again one day.
