A short pleasant boat trip from Tenby harbour to the tiny Caldey Island. Beautiful. Hundreds of years ago in the 6th century a Celtic monastery was established, occupied by Benedictine monks in the 12th century until 1536 due to the dissolution of the monasteries. The current abbey was built in 1906 and is currently occupied by Cisterian monks. There are some lovely, pleasant walks. From the landing stage to a small watchtower, on to the post office and shop, St David's church, the old Priory, St Illytd church, chocolate factory and then to the lighthouse built in 1828. Back through a small woodland or a cliff walk. Well worth visiting.

Lovely boat ride over to caldey island. Love visiting this beautiful island, but the cafe was definitely a waste of money , 2 dried up bread rolls with disgusting fillings , foul Victoria sponge , and to top it of freezing cold tea. And the price was astronomical for food that I can only say was good for feeding the ducks , will NEVER , go to that cafe again .
