A Peaceful Haven at Anne’s Guesthouse

We’ve just returned from a wonderful 7-day stay at Garn Isaf – a truly charming and welcoming B&B. This was already our second stay with Anne and from the moment we arrived, she made us feel completely at home.

The setting is incredibly peaceful and quiet, perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. The coastal path runs right by the house, making it a perfect base for hikes.

We stayed in one of the attic rooms, which was cozy, spotless, and well-equipped. A glass door opens to a small outdoor space with a lovely view of an old barn.

Annie is a fantastic host, and her warm hospitality really stands out. Her dog Amber is just as lovely – calm, friendly, and added an extra sense of warmth to the stay. Anne’s Welsh breakfast is delicious, and she kindly came up with creative alternatives for my tricky dietary needs.

There’s also a nice inn called "Farmers Arms" just a few minutes' drive away in a nearby village if you’re looking to go out for dinner.

We truly loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, Anne!

What a tranquil, delightful stay in Abercastle. It was just what we needed after a few days walking the coastal path. Anne was a fantastic host and the healthy and plentiful breakfast was delicious. We would highly recommend and look forward to a return stay.

My family and I stayed here for a week and had a great time camping, walking, swimming and climbing over rocks at the beaches nearby.

At the campsite, toilets, showers and basins were kept spotless by Anne and the campers. Probably the cleanest campsite I've been to. Showers were great.

Very nice and quiet except one very windy night which was solved by getting ear plugs.
Anne is a lovely and super hardworking lady managing a campsite and a guest house. She's friendly and was great at communicating with us.

Large spacious camping pitches. There's a gentle slope on some of the pitches. Hedges between some of the pitches provide privacy. We had a drinking water tap at our pitch which was so convenient.

We had never had a holiday in a B&B before, and were not quite sure whether it would work for us - a crusty couple and dog. We had an amazing 9 days and 9 peaceful, comfortable nights. The breakfasts were the best I have ever had in a hotel/guest house or restaurant. Annie runs her premises with a generous, thoughtful and kind spirit which cannot fail to charm. We felt so comfortable, cared about and relaxed and it was largely down to thoughtful, meticulous hosting. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to visit again. Haven't mentioned the amazing location, brilliant walks, wondeful sunsets, quiet accessible garden, dog friendliness etc. Brilliant. Thank you so much, Annie, we will be back soon!

Stayed here in August 2023, arrived during what was one hell of a storm, where Darren and Lisa met us and provided me with a much needed coffee as I did an impression of a drowned rat.
Then throughout the week, we were made to feel extremely welcome and cared for.
It was a lovely week, in a stunning location, in a lovely area, so relaxing, peaceful and beautiful.
Cant wait to go back.

We have been coming to this campsite for the past seven years and absolutely love it. It is the best campsite I have stayed on with spacious pitches, your own fire pit and full sized picnic bench. Annie, the host, has become a great family friend of ours and we always look forward to seeing her each year. I would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone. The surrounding areas are stunning and very tranquil.

This B&B is lovely decorated, super clean and the hostess was very friendly and helpfull. She helped us out by taking us to the starting point of our walk and to the pub since the shuttle wasn't available. Highly recommended!!
