An absolutely beautiful place if you like nature. We went on the Velindre family walk which is about 3 miles. Took us a while though as we just had to stop and take in the views. Lots of other walks for various degrees of fitness.
The staff are very friendly and a lovely cafe with superb food.

Beautiful. Lovely walks. Lots of bird life. Using the Merlin app. Identified many different birds. As we watched a number of Canada geese flew in and landed on the water. £3 to park. No other fees.

Lovely place. Relaxed. Plenty to do, or just relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Parking, the first hour is free. A camera captures you as you enter. After that £3 for all day. No other option.

Literally visited Llys-y-frân at 6pm or so after it had “closed” but the parking was still open - you get an hour free parking, other than that it’s £3 - and it was basically empty, meaning we got to enjoy the park with the sun setting in the distance.

It all seemed quite cool though, and if we happened to go past it in the future we’d probably pop in again.

Beautiful place to visit. Very peaceful place and good for picnics, walks, mountain biking. Prices for hiring bikes are very high. Nice cafe inside with washroom facilities. Very well looked after and excellent customer service. Parking charges are reasonable

We were staying at the llys-y-fran campsite, barely 5 minutes down the road and thought we would pop to see the lake... Well, we ended up staying the whole day! And what a incredible day it was!! The views and place itself was absolutely breathtaking, the pictures couldn't even do it justice. There was a lovely little cafe and gift shop, clean facilities and plenty of spaces to sit in or outside. There is so much to do there as well and a wonderful play park for children if you don't want to spend a penny 🥰

Walk was beautiful and easy to follow the route.
Parking reasonable.
Toilets clean.
Cafe ... Coffee was overpriced and disgusting. Girls behind the counter unhelpful. Gave us cardboard cups and when we asked for proper cups they refused stating it was too close to closing for them to wash up.
For the walking, carpark and toilets 5 star but sadly very let down by the cafe experience. Recommend visiting but maybe take a flask!
