This is a beautiful location and driving from the main road to the camping area is a real joy. It's quiet and feels a safe place to be. So for us it was a camping stay. Totally level pitch by the river and not too far to the washing facilities and the bathrooms. Everything was clean. Cannot think of any negatives really.

If you want a safe bet camping holiday which is safe for the children (excluding the obvious dangers of a river close by), quiet and relaxed then you cannot go wrong with this location.

What a find. Booked 2 weeks before we went. Only lodge available was the Pine Lodge. The oldest lodge on site. Turned off the main road into immaculately kept grounds found or lodge which was amongs the privately owned caravans. Location was amazing with a large open area of well kept grassland to the front and views of Carn Ingli to the rear. Ample parking to the side. On arrival thought the outside looked a little shabby (could do with a coat of paint) but inside was lovely. Open plan living kitchen with a modern kitchen and patio doors onto the outside decking area. 2 spacious bedrooms with ample storage. Main bedroom had an en-suite shower room and the second bedroom set up as a twin. There was also a bathroom and an entrance hall with storage. Spotlessly clean and views from every window. The Site was amazing with the River Nevern running along one side. Had a meal and a drink in the Manor which was well presented and tasty and good value for money. Would definately stay again and would have no hesitation in booking Pine Lodge.

Liked: The site was quite but unusual for this time of the year.
You could walk to the beach
about 1.5 miles away.The lady did offer us a hard standing pitch.

Disliked: The toilet block needs updating and no hand drying facilities, it would be nice the site had a small shop and food on more days considering this is high season so a little pricey due to this.Not a easy walk to Newport with no footpath although you could walk on grass verge but not great if you have children.

Liked: The site was beautiful, flat generous pitches and open with the river right beside us. It's in a steep sided valley surrounded by trees meaning there was hardly any wind. I loved the wildlife we found and the trees were full of birdsong. I was woken by the dawn chorus every morning. The house wasn't far and we went there for a game of pool (£5) and a meal one night. The food was good and not over-priced.
The toilets, showers and washing up areas were spotless. Plenty of hot water.
We walked from the site into Newport bay which was very easy and a lovely walk. Nice cafe at the beach.
Newport village and Fishguard are lovely to explore and have a few nice shops and pubs.
WiFi was free in the house. I had a good 4G signal at the tent.

Disliked: The toilet block was quite basic. No hairdryer (there was a plug in the porch area if you bring your own) and no shower gel. I also couldn't see any heaters in there so it might get quite cold.
The showers would be difficult with a toddler (you would get just as wet as the child) and I didn't see a family shower.

Secluded valley with a lovely hotel nestled in it. Pub grub kinda vibe which was cheap and cheerful. Friendly staff. Room was small but we did get the economy room so no complaints there! Great mini golf course and some nice walks around the local area. No phone signal at all so WiFi was useful! Loads of parking. Thanks 🙂

We have stayed here on four occasions, in the hotel rooms, an apartment and most recently in one of the lodges. We have stayed at different times of the year and each time has been excellent. The surrounding park is beautifully maintained and the location is quite special and close to local shops etc. in Newport and Cardigan. Food in the hotel is very good and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. the manager, Meleri is especially brilliant in all aspects running the complex. So lovely is this place we would live there at the drop of a hat.

Liked: Nice site, very quiet but still outside main tent camping season. Lovely space next to river with walks straight from site. Clean facilities and warm showers.

Disliked: On Pitchup it states that the tent pitches are maximum 2mx2m so I ended up booking a double pitch (as advised on the Pitchup website) for my 2mx4m tent. This wasn't necessary apparently but a fault of the booking site. Worth checking with actual campsite when booking.

We stayed in Lodge 11 booked through Hoseasons.
This lodge was amazing and cannot fault any part of our stay.
Location was perfect for exploring.
5 year old also loved it especially the onsite park.
Wish we had had time to try out the crazy golf.
