I was walking the Nantlle Ridge this week with a friend and this firm helped us out of a potentially very sticky situation. We were doing the route one way in a linear direction from Rhyd Ddu to Nebo but had two cars so left one at the finish at the end of a long and remote road and the other from our start at Rhyd Ddu railway station. About two thirds of the way along the ridge when it would have been too late to turn back we realised that we had left the keys for the second car in the glove compartment of the one we had left at Rhyd Ddu!

We noticed what must have been a mobile mast about an hour’s walk away from the finish and found the site for Ivan’s Taxis on google and were thankfully able to give them a call. They couldn’t have been more helpful! I spoke to the wife and arranged for Ivan to pick us up in a hour by which time we’d be at the end of the road where we had parked. He turned up on the dot and drove us back to where the first car was at Rhyd Ddu. He was friendly and great to talk to. The whole experience couldn’t have gone better and really saved us that day! Just be aware though that he doesn’t have credit card facility in the cab.

I was walking the Nantlle Ridge from Rhyd Ddu to Nebo. I started at 8am but was unsure what time I would get to Nebo. I booked the pick up for 4pm and then phoned Ivan from Mynydd Graig Goch to give him an update. No problem for Ivan. I have used his service before and will use it again. Diolch yn fawr, iawn!

I asked for a taxi to Maes Tryfan (A very small village of 13 houses in Groeslon), I've lived here a long time and had no taxi problems until I rang this arrogant idiot however. First he claimed he couldn't understand me (I have a clear English accent) though nobody else has had any trouble understanding me since being here for the last 7 years then the second time he claimed Maes Tryfan was huge and he didn't know where I was. I gave him my full address, he said he understood I was in Groeslon but still no go. I tried my best trying to get through to this complete dumbass who delighted in winding me up, saying over and over Maes Tryfan in Groeslon is massive he can't do it, until I went to Huw's taxis instead and got one straight away. Wasn't impressed. Why claim to be a taxi service but not actually give a service?!
