A friend and I hired Alex to guide us along the Cuillin Ridge Traverse in May 25. We had climbed with Alex twice before, and we went back to him as he is such a good guide. We succeeded on the ridge, thanks to Alex. He is safe, competent, inspiring, good at people management and time management, has a wide range of knowledge, is fun to talk to, and is such a nice person. Could not imagine a better guide. If we need a guide again, we will definitely contact Alex. Highly recommended.

I had amazing day out with Alex. He'd planned an excellent itinerary of several very varied sites and had great local knowledge about what had been spotted recently and where. I really enjoyed learning about all the birds - their calls and songs and behaviours as well as tips for identification. We saw 16 different birds I had never seen before! Highlights for me were the spoonbill at Cors Ddyga, puffins at South Stack and the overwhelming amount of terns at Cemlyn Bay - sandwich, artic, common and roseate. I'd taken my own binoculars but the scope that Alex brought with him really enhanced each sighting. He also provided really lovely snacks and hot drinks and planned in plenty of comfort breaks. All in all - this was a way past ten out of ten birdwatching experience.
