We stayed here for a week in August in a 3 bedroom silver birch it was cabin number 6 . We loved our cabin it was in such a good location . The balcony with hot tub felt very private and had lovely views. The site was so peaceful. Have added photos of view from cabin. We have stayed in a gold on a different site and did not feel this silver was a downgrade at all as the extras supplied with gold we did nt use. The accommodation we stayed in is a pet one but was spotless . The site and staff are lovely we ordered one meal delivered and feel it was of good quality and value. The walks from the site are great and beddgelert is lovely to visit. We went to 2 of the zip world locations from here easily. Also Portmeirion is definitely worth a visit . We will definitely be back as still loads we didnโ€™t have time for on this holiday in the area. Probably the only negative weโ€™ve found we these lodges and most holiday accommodation is such small fridges especially as shops are a bit of a drive away we really be helpful to have a bit more space. Obviously not something that ruins holiday though and I would definitely recommend this site .

Came with my partner and his parents who are regular Forest Holiday goโ€™ers and we had such a brilliant time! The cabin was spotless, the beds were super comfortable and the views of course were beautiful. Staff were really friendly and helpful- and there was also a beautiful tabby cat on site! We are already planning our return next year ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒณ

I stayed here for 2 nights in the forest campsite.
I arrived late around 6pm only to find the reception closed at 5pm (short staffed) and the emergency phone number only operates from 9pm!
Luckily a lad who was working in bakery sorted everything out for me.
I had been looking forward to having a bakery and hot food on site. But unfortunately this was closed the next day (short staffed)
Then I got to the campsite, what a mess! Where they had made clearings for the pitches they had just left all the brash and dead wood lying around. The 'gravel' they had used was very fine and sharp which stuck to my shoes and was impossible to keep out of the van.
Yes you are parked under the trees but this just served to make the whole place really gloomy. There was hardly any views to enjoy apart from the many rubbish bins.
The only good bit was the individual bathrooms, which were great.
On my last night I moved across town to the Cae Du campsite. What a difference! A fabulous site with amazing views.
The owners of the Forest site should pay it a visit to see what a proper campsite looks like .

Brilliant location, lovely staff, who checked that we had settled in okay and checked the hot tub every morning.

It's great to be able to sit on the deck or in the hot tub and watch the Welsh Highland Railway trains go past.

From our lodge whenever there was a whistle we had plenty of time to get to the crossing to see the trains.

We stayed Monday to Friday for four nights in a two bedroom cabin with a hot tub on the deck.

The welcome was excellent and the service was outstanding during our stay. It was far more friendly and personal here at the Beddgelert site. Thorpe Forest was good but nothing like as good as this.

We ordered a grocery pack and a veg box and ended up bringing quite a bit home but nothing will be wasted. Something we ordered triggered a free pizza takeaway except it was for four people!! We ate pizza for two nights!!!! Everything was really nice but I'd say, be careful what you order! ๐Ÿ˜‰

The veg box was excellent! One of the women staff members drove to Porthmadog to fetch it for us. Above and beyond but another indication of the quality of service.

The site is a brilliant location about 6 miles inland from Porthmadog amongst the mountains. It's a really very pleasant place to be. Plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants in Beddgelert. Being a fairly small site it isn't busy, not the time of year, anyway.

Bike hire is available and The Retreat, coffee bar and shop and info point is easily walkable.

Oh! The hot tub was great!! It's also cleaned and checked daily.

All in all, an excellent 5-star stay. This is the best Forest Holidays site so far! We'll be back!!!

After holidaying in the area as a child, I wanted to be based in the Beddgelert area to allow travel to various sightseeing spots such as Harlech Castle and Snowdon. ||Booking process was easy and thankfully I took out the protection as did need to amend our dates due. Had no issues in doing so and the team were very helpful. We received a welcome call the day before we arrived to go through any questions we had which was a nice touch. ||We visited midweek beginning of April and had a golden oak cabin. We were incredibly lucky with the weather (sunshine for all four days) the cabin itself was clean and tidy and had all essentials you need. We cooked in three nights and ate out once in the village of Beddgelert. Like one of the other reviews we did find the cabin rather warm so did have to have the back door open during day which worked. Having the hot tub was a great bonus especially after all the walking we did. Loved the updated decor, comfort beds and fluffy towels and gowns we had.||The location is what makes this place. You can walk to Beddgelert village which has a couple of pubs, restaurants, cafes, a couple of independent shops and the start of some amazing walks. Note the walk is approx 2 miles through farmland and wooded areas. Whilst the brave might do this at night it wasnโ€™t recommended and we see why. Taxis are a little tricky to arrange but there is parking in Beddgelert for a small charge. But that walk alone is stunning and a must do. You also have the steam railway line go past which is nice to see. ||We hiked mount snowdon using a guide (Walk Snowdonia, also recommended) and did the Ranger Path which is all of a five min drive to the car park by the YHA where you begin||We found four days wasnโ€™t enough and should have booked seven as they is so much to do in the area. Yes it is on the pricy side what with the extras but we are glad we went.||We hope to use Forest holidays again visiting either Scotland or Brecon Beacons and would recommend from our first visit.

Super base to stay and explore Snowdonia, sorry Eryri National Park! Only 15 or so chalets makes it feel very exclusive. Lots of biking and walking trails straight off the site makes it even better. Is this the best Forest Holidays site? MAYBE.

Brilliant location and lodges are spot on. The steam trains passing are a highlight along with the walk to Beddgelert through the forest. Only thing lacking is a cafe like other sites.
