It is unimaginable that the castle can be so beautifully preserved and can be visited up close. The surroundings are very carefully taken care of. I have been to many National Trust locations, and this is the most complete one. The volunteers at the entrance were happy to explain to us. In addition to the castle, don't I missed going to the Walled Garden. There are many different types of plants designed and planted there, so there are different things for children to play with. There is also a train museum, you might as well look for the big tree planted by the Queen. It is worth coming here again.

The area is stunning but the courtyard area could do with some touching up. The gardens are impressive but we couldn't go into the castle with dogs.

Friendly, but a option for a cup of coffee would be great, before you walk up to the castle. Also earlier opening times would help. Toilets are available and clean. The castle itself is interesting and was build between 1820 — 1825, showing actually a rotten splendor of wealth! Just one of their pleasure properties!

The staff at the visitor centre are really friendly and helpful. They are there to make your visit to Penrhyn Castle as enjoyable as possible.
If you have any access restrictions, such as needing a lift up the long track to the castle entrance then these are the people to ask.
There is a small, but pricey outdoor garden plant section with a display of plants and outdoor garden accessories for sale.

Great place for all the family. Didn't go inside the house this time as had a 3yr old with us. Plenty of outdoor space and adventure playground. Also a small train museum to see.
