I was a bit wary when I read the less than favorable reviews on various sites, but I am pleased to say they were wrong.||We had a fantastic time. The manor is beautiful and the rooms , though recently built, keep in the style that compliments the house. We came for my birthday, but also to have a peaceful time at the end of a very busy period. We tried all the restaurants , and they were amazing, especially the Chinese one. Also we had a sublime tart tatin in the armoury. The staff were amazing, couldn’t be more helpful and polite. The only thing that definitely needs to change, is an explanation of how the incidentals work when you are checking in. It seems that a limit is set, which we weren’t told about, and the incidentals start getting charged as soon as you reach the limit, which was a bit of a shock. We had never experienced this before, and we have stayed in a lot of high calibre places. Other than this, we couldnt have asked for a more perfect stay. We will be back.

I honestly don’t think some of the ratings on here do Estelle justice. They’re not reflective of the quality of this hotel, its service, or the staff. Is it the Four Seasons? No. Would I choose Estelle over the Four Seasons? Absolutely – because it’s got a rare blend of a luxury hotel with a relaxed members’ club vibe.||I’m a member and live in London, but from time to time we come out for a short break. Every stay has been worth it. The Erin review and photos really capture Estelle perfectly – it’s a magical place. I’ve had lunch here next to royalty and well-known actors, yet the atmosphere always stays grounded and unpretentious.||Yes, some staff are young and, like much of the UK hospitality industry since Brexit, things can be a touch disorganised now and then. But I’ve always found the team to be friendly, and there’s clearly a lot happening behind the scenes to keep such a dynamic place running.||Highlights:||The property and grounds: Simply stunning.|Food: Always excellent. The Glasshouse does a fantastic Dhaba salad, and I’ve enjoyed every restaurant I’ve tried here.|Dog-friendly policy: Truly exceptional. Many hotels claim to be dog friendly, but Estelle actually delivers. Dogs roam freely (with responsible owners) and it makes such a difference when travelling with our own.|A fun fact – Steve Jobs’ daughter had her wedding reception here for two days. That alone tells you this is not a “3-star” experience.|I think some negative reviews come from people who visited once and didn’t see the full picture. Estelle is a special place – you really have to come and experience it for yourself.

We had high hopes for our stay, but unfortunately the experience was marred by poor organisation and service throughout.||Reception felt more like a WW2 evacuation than a luxury hotel — long queues everywhere, babies crying, and staff looking completely overwhelmed. When I asked someone from the so-called guest relations team in the entrance hall if they could show me to my room, she said that she couldn’t help because they were “waiting for a VIP arrival.” A disappointing attitude — it seems regular guests don’t matter as much.||Dinner in the Billiards Room gave the impression that we were being done a favour just by being seated, and the Brasserie was chaotic. A clear pattern emerged: managers appeared to outnumber the waiting staff two to one, yet they stood idle while the poor servers ran themselves ragged trying to keep up.||Checkout was equally disorganised. We couldn’t even get near Reception, so in the end we just handed our key to a porter at the door and left, hoping the bill was accurate.||It’s such a shame, because the main house and grounds are absolutely stunning and you can see a huge amount of thought has gone into the design. But the service is completely out of step with the surroundings and the prices being charged. The whole experience felt like opening weekend chaos, not what you’d expect from an established luxury property.||If you’re looking to spend this sort of money and want a true luxury experience, I would recommend Le Manoir or Heckfield Place instead — they really know how to look after their guests.

To begin with, the check in experience was horrid. When you are paying as much as they charge per evening, you expect someone to greet you and since it's a larger property, they should then escort you to your room and explain the grounds. We were walked to our room and that was it. The room was nice though the bathroom was poorly laid out for such a large room. |There is no one in the main room of the manor helping guests. You walk in there and have to practically beg for someone to help.|The people at the front who help get your car and waiters were all super nice.|The falconery was great.|In the end, do not waste your money no matter how much you have.

Avoid like the plague. Whilst the accommodation is impressive, the service is abysmal and completely lacking. It’s truly like the blind leading the blind, I have never experienced anything like it in my life. I’m still waiting to hear back from them after an item of clothing was stolen by a hotel guest.

I booked Estelle Manor for my anniversary and made a note of it in the reservation, hoping for a special experience. They completely ignored it. No "happy anniversary," no small gesture, nothing. Our table at dinner was in a bad spot, the service was rushed, and the whole meal felt chaotic. It was just another transaction for them. It's really disappointing when a place that markets itself as luxury fails on such a basic level of hospitality. They made our special day feel completely unimportant.

Overall the manor is nice, but for the price, the standards are high. Unfortunately we ran into multiple issues during our stay. One of our meals we waited nearly 90 minutes for our main dish. This was after diners arriving much later were served. On departure, I called for luggage service and no one picked up. I carried all luggage myself to the front. Lastly, I asked to be quoted a transfer to and from Estelle Manor. The quote was much higher than BlackLane (exact same service), and they pushed the larger (more expensive) van that was unnecessary. Estelle Manor then charged me for the transfer after verbally saying they would not. Overall a nice place. There are A LOT of kids there, I think it is nice if you have kids (and dogs), but if I was single, I would be less interested.

A children and families focused hotel. Low hotel enforcement of the children’s swimming hours. Kids most places. Lots of activities for kids. We visited early Aug.

Terrible control of finances. Challenged some of our prepayments. Not satisfied even with statements shown. Making their incompetence our inconvenience at this type of establishment is inexcusable

They have a single child free restaurant. The food is generally outstanding. The staff and service match the expectation. One of the best massages of my life at their spa.
