Really enjoyable stay in this wonderful and cosy cottage. Location is great.
Being up on Birch Hill has
wonderful view of the Gorge.
And walking distance access to Cheddar town with all the attractions and good base for walks and excursions around the Gorge and Caves. The owners are very friendly couple and they have a garden at the back with very diverse plantation.

The Gorge View Cottage was an amazing surprise. Very well crafted with everything essential for our stay. Super comfy and perfectly located for pubs, shops and the Gorge walks. Huw the host is so friendly, I wish we have had more time to know him better.

Only been here for a couple of days ( here for the week) and already loving it, the cottage is perfect for the two of us, with everything you need. The garden is fab too ( if you like that sort of thing) even though most of the plants etc are coming to the end of the season.lovely and quiet with a short 5 minutes walk to the gorge.
The only thing I would change is the car we came in , should have come in the small one as the roads are quite narrow.
To summarize. Fantastic

My daughter and I spent part of the Christmas Holidays at Gorge View Cottage. We had a wonderful time. The cottage is lovely with lots attention to detail and being environmentally sound, both things we appreciate. The views of the Gorge are beautiful and the location is perfect for peace and quite, while still being near many great areas. We spent a lot of time in Glastonbury. We also went on several local walks. In the gorge we saw sheep, hawks and other wildlife. It was magical in there even in the winter. We look forward to going back this next year.

We booked this excellent cottage online last summer during our trip in the south-west. The cottage was the perfect location to relax in as it directly overlooks the gorge in the village of Cheddar (where the cheese comes from) yet avoiding the touristy centre. The cottage is traditionally built so has the pretty rural look yet has modern and brand new furnishings inside... I appreciated their speedy WiFi and flat screen. There is also a memory foam mattress which meant I slept like a baby while I was there.

The owners are a friendly couple who made us feel really comfortable and seemed very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. I want to visit again in the winter to make use of their wood stove. Thanks.

This is a beautiful cottage in a central location. Perfect for those who don't have a car (like us) and Mary and Huw encourage the use of public transport by providing a discount. The cottage is very environmentally friendly which is a unique selling point that grabbed my attention as an environmental science university student.
The cottage is well furnished with underfloor heating, wetroom bathroom, privacy blinds wi fi, wood burning stove and a memory foam king sized bed. The views from the bedroom are stunning. This cottage is well worth a stay. I would recommend it for couples of all ages.

We had a great stay at this wonderful cottage. Huw was as helpful and kind as it gets, really. We forgot a pen drive in the house and he posted it to our home in Alella. We are looking forward to going back there again soon

I've stayed here a couple of times now and it never disappoints. The location is excellent, and the cottage itself it very cosy, clean, and well supplied. It's perfect for a small get away.
