There's not much to actually see overall but the views and different routes accessible to and from Sea walls is surprising. (A small trail where you can sometimes see goats and enter the ravine down to the Portway is good for people with access to boots. Quite steep but been done in trainers). Toilet facilities are normally closed after after dark. Ice cream van there most of the time.

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful spots in Bristol and one of my all-time favourite locations. Visit and you will see why. It's always got a vibrant feel to it, with all the people around enjoying the view and picnics with family and friends. The view is just spectacular. Did I mention that already? There's a reason

I just had a wonderful walk at Sea Walls in Bristol and it was amazing! This place is perfect if you love being outdoors. The walk along the gorge gives you stunning views of the Suspension Bridge, which is so impressive. I counted seeing it at least 21 times from different spots!

There’s plenty of space to roam around, and I saw many people enjoying their day out, just like me. An ice cream van wasn't there on my visit, but am told there's one on nice days! I also noticed a lot of families having picnics, and it looked like the perfect spot for one in the future.

The parking was easy to find, which was really handy but limited spaces so have a backup parking. And it's good to know there are toilets nearby, so you can spend more time without any worries.

Overall, visiting Sea Walls was a fantastic experience. Whether you're walking, enjoying the scenery, or just having a picnic, it's a great place to relax and have fun. I definitely recommend it for a day out!

The views from here are stunning over the Avon Gorge. To the left you have the Clifton Suspension Bridge. To the right views over to Shirehampton and part of Avonmouth. Lastly across the river you can see thousands of tress over by Ashton Court/ Leigh Woods. Views of the balloons rising from Ashton Court and the Balloon Fiesta held every year mid August. And some truely stunningly beautiful sunsets. Plenty of space to be had for your day on the Downs

Great climbing spot for both beginners and more advanced climbers. Be sure to bring your equipment though, as you’ll definitely need some climbing shoes. Also try to go there during some nicer weather
