Didn't know what to expect but the view at the end of a shortish but tougher climb/walk was worth it.

My 9 and 6 year old were fine with it though with a little hand holding in places. It can be narrow, steep and footing unstable in places so it's definitely a walk for the more able.

My terrier was in her happy place but dogs must be on leads.

It was very dry when we did it, I'm not sure how it would be after more wet weather through the winter.

Beautiful place but make sure you choose the right trail for you. As far as I’m aware there are two.
Easy and more difficult.
I choose the difficult trail which was beautiful however the stone steps were too high for me (5ft 4)so I had to climb the steps. For context my husband is 6ft 2 and found it fine.
I would not recommend this route to anyone with small children.
I did enjoy but next time I would take the easy route making it easier to get around.
Other things to note make sure you have water with you and there is parking to pay by app.

Beautiful place, but signs to start of walks not very clear. We did the walk back to front. But a beautiful place.

Like going back to a primeval time. Deep damp woods covered in epiphytes, caves line the steep banks now covered with vegetation and earth, at the top of the gorge the view is enchanting. Within the gorge itself seems to be a sanctuary for birds. The place is alive. A true gem.
The paths and steps are steep and can be challenging, but it's well worth it. Will be taking my family back there but will have to wear the youngen in a carrier for the ascents!

There are a few car parks, not all of which are on Google maps. They are all a short walk from the gorge itself, through beautiful woodland. Be aware that the entire area is hilly and rocky, so suitable footwear is needed, and prams and wheelchairs will have a hard time.
