After reading some of the other reviews I nearly did not rent from Thrifty because of the feedback. My experience with them was great and I would definitely use them again. I needed a car for 10 days. The lady at reception was very friendly and took us round the car pointing out damage. We did spot some not on their sheet so she updated it, we were not rushed in any way. When we dropped the car back it was just under full but the man serving us suggested popping to the petrol station to fill up as their rates are understandably higher. I dropped it at 5:20pm and they close at 5:30pm. I said I would not be able to do it in 10 mins and he said it was not issue and he would wait which he did. (though for the £5 of fuel it needed, I should have just paid the £2 per ltr they charge.
He then checked the car, no damage was noted (as I'd done none) and that was it.

My experience, Great car at great price,, great staff, great company.

Car supplied was great but service from staff was beyond rude and uninterested. When reporting was treated with little to no interest and dismissed by the customer service lady behind desk. Would not recommend as when issue happen they do not care.

Poor service
First of all staff are pretty unfriendly and don’t deliver customer service. They demanded lots of paperwork however I only have paperless bills so that first of all caused an issue and their attitude was cold and not engaging nearing on rude

Took the car back and they found two tiny scratches on the wheel and charged 170 pounds
Team member was rude and zero customer service skills
Have rented many cars before but never experienced service like thrifty
Avoid at all costs

DO NOT USE! When I went to collect my vehicle they seem to be in a hurry to get me out, however when I brought the vehicle back they had all the time in the world to check the vehicle over with a fine tooth comb. I had already pointed out some of the damage that they had missed on their paperwork, however they spotted something I had missed and am now being charged for it. If you have no choice in who you use CHECK your vehicle extremely carefully before you leave and if possible take pictures.

Awful place. Rented a car because they were cheap, and then found out why. They charged me £85+VAT for a half inch scratch on the alloy wheel that I didn't do. It was so small there was no way it would have been spotted on the initial inspection. Staff were moody and not very helpful. Go over the road to Enterprise and pay a few pounds more for a decent experience.

Awful!

Rent a car that has never been provided and no relevant elements provided by the guy in reception to explain the reason why. I had to go through the customer service of the website I booked the car throught to get a refund (rentalcars, very helpful). They contacted the branch that was not able to provide a reason for refusal the...

To avoid by all means.
Europcar, Hertz are not that far, no bad surprise and much better service!
