The reviews are at best fair but not brilliant of this Co. There were some positive points to my trip to Liverpool but some negative. If you want to discuss anything it's necessary to write or email. What happened to customer service? Booking trips in UK isn't particularly cheap now. Not sure I would book again with Grand UK.

Our driver Marcus was absolutely fantastic, such a nice friendly guy and tour guide Wendy was really lovely. We stayed at the royal in Scarborough and it had to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, broken windows, windows that did not shut, dirty carpets, homeless people being allowed to come in and eat for free and sleep in any corner they could find, was not keen on dogs being allowed to stay either and the food was inedible, every day one of the choices was a pie which was made from the previous days dinner and breakfast and the other choices were just disgusting. Me and my mum had to go out and eat somewhere else which we really didn’t have the budget for so meant we could not visit some of the places we wanted to. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

First time with Grand uk tours. Offices off grand uk holidays should off told my mum before we got to hotel no walk in shower. Room was given on 5th floor and she wouldn't off got into the shower no grab rails. So given disabled room OK on 1st floor but call that a disabled room. Good points good driver Gordon and tour guide Emma. Food lovely in hotel. Entertainment good but not long enough. Only half an hour. But really communication from grand uk to customer would off much be appreciated otherwise would off not booked up.Hotel royal Scarborough will not be booking with grand uk tours again.

I have experience many coach companies over the years......(I worked for a Northern company owned by friends) some good some bad!
The driver can make or break a holiday but by having a coach assistant, and the two working together can make a great holiday for everyone.
Grand UK have got it spot on and I’ve enjoyed every holiday I have been on. The drivers are friendly and polite and it helps that they seem to know the coach assistants well .
The telephone team are friendly and efficient, always important as they are the first contact. Overall a lovely company to go on holiday with.

Comfortable room but food was of very poor quality. No fruit or vvegetables, apart from peas, served at all. Breakfast was reasonable but evening meals, YUK! Fishcakes, meat balls, pasta, no main meals contained meat and two veg, and no bread offered with starters such as calamari, whitebait etc. Obviously, inferior quality foods served for coach tours.

Tour manager and coach driver okay but travel exhausting with long trips, often three per day, in programme! On the third day, we were driven to Nottingham and dropped at edge of city (at National Express pick up?) and given no advice as to where to go from here! left to our own devices. We were told that the driver needed to rest after two and half days driving Really?

Very disappointing holiday and came home feeling thoroughly exhausted. Nothing good avbout this holiday at all! Having been assured by friends that GrandUK was excellent, I have to say my own experience could not say the same! The hotel has a great deal to answer for and should be investigated by Grand UK. Feel very let down.

I went on a Grand UK Gold tour to The Manor at Cricket St Thomas on the 11th to 15th October. I have been unable to post this review before as my friend and I came back with Covid.
The outward journey took 10 hours, partly on a feeder coach. We didn't get our welcome reception until the second evening as we were so late arriving and had to be rushed to the dining room.
The hotel rooms were lovely and clean but there it ended.
The rooms were a 15 minute walk from the dining room. My friend is disabled and had asked for rooms near the facilities. There were no rooms at all near the facilities and at no point was she told this. We had to be in the dining room for 8.30am and 6.30pm. If we were late the dining room staff told us so. Although Grand Uk paid for tea and coffee with our evening meal we didnt get it unless we asked. The dining room service was appalling. 2 staff were polite and friendly but the rest of them had an uncaring attitude and we were mostly ignored, we were in different places every morning and evening which made it difficult for our tour manager to find us. I would be surprised if she managed to get a meal the whole of the week she had so much running around to do.
Our trips out were to 2 places each day, which left us with two hours only to browse at each place, we were on and off the coach like ping pong balls. By the end of the second day we were exausted.
The driver Dave and tour manager Marion were lovely and did their best for everyone. We were pleased when Friday arrived and we could go home. The return journey took just over 11 hours.
The whole experience was was awful. We would never book with Grand UK again and most of the people on the tour said the same thing.
Sorry for all of this negativity but if it saves one person from having a difficult, though costly, holiday this post will have been worth it

We have recently returned from a 5 day break in weston super mare. Once again grand uk did the business. Everythingwas spot on. There was not even a the obligatory moaner. Quite honestly there was nothing to complain about. From the pickup we were very happy. The hotel was clean and of good standard. The food was very good and plentiful. Our tour guide, Dorothy, as ever looked after us and is good fun. We had every confidence in our driver, Steve. I would be happy to travel with Dorothy and Steve again. We have had numerous holidays with Guk and look forward to many more. We'll put up with masks and having our temperature taken every day. Congratulations to guk for getting it right. See you at Christmas. Maureen Mardell and Les Brewer.
