Rural Strides - Petersfield

We spent a wonderful morning discovering interesting facts about the nature and history of Petersfield.

The walk was inspirational and even suitable for a 6 year old who managed to do 10 kms. Luckily Malinka is very patient and kind.

What stands this walking tour out from others is that, a lot of time and effort has gone into plan this walk with enough information to not overwhelm but pique interest that will get you looking up everything you talked about.

I’d highly recommend Malinka to both groups of adults and children, you won’t be disappointed!

I've been guided on multiple walks with Malinka mostly south downs but one on Isle of Wight and couple of coastal paths.

I've added in a selection of photos to illustrate some of my experiences but they really don't do my experiences justice.

I think of Malinka as "The 'ologist....geologist, meterologist, biologist, botanist.....well you get my drift? You can add in poet, historian, photographer but mostly I can only describe Malinka as a brilliant walking companion, never a dull moment, she's taught me to love my walks and stop making them a challenge to beat my previous best steps / time / distance etc.

If you're considering a South Downs area walk, including the coast, Malinka will deliver a brilliant experience, you'll go back to the pub / house / hotel with tired legs, a big smile and a more inquisitive mind than you left in the morning.....

I cannot recommend the experience highly enough - enjoy your hike..

I have been on a number of walks this year and each one has been a great venture into countryside that I would not have explored myself. Malinka is very knowledgeable and leads the walks extremely well. She always encourages the group, enabling us to overcome any obstacles and engenders a friendly, sociable atmosphere. I have thoroughly enjoyed every walk and it has given my mental health a great boost too!

I had the pleasure of having Malinka as my walking guide last summer 2022 for some lovely walks across the Western Weald. I hadn't expected it to be such a wonderful experience both in terms of the beauty of the scenery, Malinka picked really the best paths/places with lovely sights of interest, and the diversity of flore and fauna, Malinka is super knowledgeable about both. I would definitely choose Malinka as guide again when I'm visiting the area.

I went out with Malinka for a few days last October. The surroundings were beautiful - just like walking through a movie. I come from the Netherlands and can walk about 20 km a day there, but that turned out not to be feasible in the UK because of the hills! Routes were adjusted (I think she knows every route there is) and we just made beautiful walks. Malinka knows a lot about the history and ecology of the area - it was very interesting. All in all, it is simply fascinating to take walks there. We had a delicious meal and drinks along the way in a typical English pub, which was lovely for me as a Dutchwoman. Have I already said we will definitely be back?!!

Rural Strides is a unique walking experience. Routes are thoughtfully planned to highlight the beautiful and varied landscape of the Western Weald in every season, with insights into the local history, geology and nature shared along the way.
Malinka is an exceptional leader: her enthusiasm, knowledge and humour bring people together, and her walks are full of interest, laughter and good conversation.

Joined one of Malinka's walks while on a visit from China. I was introduced to this evening walk by my friend who lives in the area. The walk was professionally organised and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Most people there did not know one another but everyone was friendly and we had lovely chats during the walk. Malinka made sure that the group stayed together despite different walking speeds. It started raining heavily towards the end of the walk but that did not spoil the fun and we made it back safely and nicely exercised.
Recommend this to anyone who wants outdoor exercise. It's a great way of meeting people too!
