My husband and I have just left after celebrating our anniversary here. It was fabulous from start to finish, the grounds and hotel and perfectly maintained, the staff were all so lovely, friendly and helpful. The check in time was perfect and later check out worked well for us to make the most of the stay.

Dinner was lovely, nice to see some different options on the menu and tasted amazing! Also nice to see through the kitchen too at how hard work they were all at!

We took advantage of the spa on site, which I was a little concerned about when I booked as it looked on the small side, but it was just stunning. Again it was immaculate, staff were lovely, we were lucky with the weather and took full advantage of the outdoor sun lounger. It was lovely that it was not too busy and at times had the place to ourselves.

I had two treatments which was amazing too!

I would highly recommend anyone thinking of staying here! It would not disappoint!

Visited for an elderly relative’s birthday. Very accessible with plentiful blue badge spaces and able to ride mobility buggy onto the terrace. No need to book and yet service was polished and prompt with orders and kitchen keeping up. Front of house staff were superb and everything well maintained. Food was delicious with a good choice and prices very good for extremely generous portions. Will return maybe for an overnight stay as it’s a lovely spot

Lunch for two on the patio. Even on a hot day like today it was very comfortable and the view was wonderful, love the outside improvements, howver, after reading all the hype about the "new menu" I was disappointed that the prawns on the open faced sandwich were in fact cheap cold water prawns and the skinny fries were NOT skinny. Meal was beautifyyly presented, staff were very professional, no long wait for delivery of lunch. Because of the beauty of the location we will go back, but it would have been so nice if the "new menu" was actually new and reasonably priced. I did not expect to see fish and chips on the menu - the wording told me is was not cod or haddock.

I’m always optimistic that the service will improve, but every time I go I feel that they just don’t care about proving good service. Visited on a Saturday lunch and the place was dead, and the spa was also almost empty. The manager was very rude. Food was nice, but nothing special for the price. The spa is missing something, probably a pool. I don’t feel it’s worth the visit for a spa day.

I’d just like to share some positive feedback about a recent visit to Milsoms Kesgrave Hall, Ipswich. 7 of us dined recently, and had a lovely experience. The food was of a very high standard, the staff were attentive and exceptionally polite. A special mention must go to Molly, who was incredibly outgoing, polite and made us all smile. She’s a real credit to the team. We look forward to visiting again soon. Elliott & Mel

We visited Kesgrave Hall for our 15th anniversary and from start to finish had an absolutely wonderful experience! They rang us whilst we were en route to let us know our room had been upgraded.. and what an upgrade!! We were put in the gatehouse apartment which is frankly one of the nicest rooms either my wife or I had stayed in.. the staff were attentive (even giving us lifts to and from the main hotel in golf buggies) and the evening meal was delicious!
My only critique would be the cocktails at the start of the evening weren't the best I've had but everything else was 10/10! Would definitely go again!

Finally a UK hotel which I would actually recommend and go back to! Beautiful historic building and lovely setting, very clean and modern yet still period interior, good food and drink, lovely staff. Great all round!

It should be good - as a business they need to concentrate on service and good food and train their staff. I have yet to have a good experience eating here, it is always a dissapointment - staff who don't look after their customers. The system of filling in a form which they are supposed to collect doesn't work so you have to go and find them, drinks orders take 15-25 minutes. Food should be good as its a good menu but its either over-cooked or not hot. In the restaurant business consistency is so important, unfortunately it is consistently poor. In the press the owners complain about the NI and other cost increases but they are not doing their part in giving customers a good experience. A real pity.
