Wow! I wasn't expecting the type of experience I got when I visited this Holiday Inn. From the moment you stepped into the building there was a welcoming hug. All the staff were so polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was of a high standard providing everything one would need for an overnight stay . The restaurant and food were of a high standard especially the breakfast where the the service was second to none. Again nothing was too much trouble. All in all a very pleasant experience and one I would recommend to anybody. Thank you Holiday Inn

Had a nice stay here. The full English breakfast is to die for after you've spent years away from home. We had issues with the plug-hole stoppers, but the staff were very helpful and came to tap them loose for us. 🙂 The staff in general were lovely.

PS. Oh yeah, watch out for all the bunny rabbits if you're driving in late!

Lovely experience, but take own pillows. We really enjoyed our stay meeting with family.
We would highly recommend this hotel, and we stayed at The Huntingdon last year.
The only issue we had was the pillows being quite soft.
In fairness, we're probably being very picky, as our overall stay was brilliant, with great food, service, and a great selection of food and drinks.
We will continue visiting the Huntingdon Holiday Inn and will no doubt be there again next year, although we'll take our own pillows, which are a bit firmer, but this is down to our personal preference.

This was an unplanned (and unwanted) stay after a car crash left us carless 300 miles from home.

Throughout our stay the front desk staff were sympathetic and helpful, going beyond expectations to make our visit as painless as possible.

Three hours before we were due to check-out we realised we would probably need to stay for a second night. The front desk found a way to provisionally reserve rooms for a second night without having to pay if we did not need them, while apologising that we would have to move to new rooms.

When it became obvious we did need the second night they had new rooms availble for us to move into immediately. They managed to change the text on our invoice for the rooms so that it would be obvious (to our insurance company) that the invoice covered two rooms for one night.

When we finally checked out, we needed the same changes made to the invoice for the second night. The staff on duty at the time did not know how to do this but solved the problem by finding the staff member who had made the change the previous day to come and teach them how to make the changes. They seemed to regard this as great learning experience while providing an excellent service.

The bar/restaurant staff all seemed to be having fun and behaved as if part of their job was to make sure the guests were enjoying themselves as well. The bar staff also had the very appreciated ability to remember preferences and room numbers.

The kitchen menu is varied and it was obvious the chef has more than the usual microwave available and knows how to prepare good food.

It is impossible to single out any member of staff - they were all friendly and helpful.

The overall experience was impressive and we will make changes to our holiday plans so we stay at this hotel again at the start and end of our holiday this year.

A modern hotel out on the Brampton side of Huntingdon, overlooking Huntingdon Racecourse. Stayed here on two occasions a few nights apart.

Plenty of free parking. Some parking spaces have electric charging facilities.

A friendly lady on reception checked us in. Allocated rooms on the first floor to the rear overlooking fields. The rooms at the front (I think the even numbered rooms overlook the racecourse). However as we were staying using ihg points and not here for horse racing, it was not a problem.

The rooms were very well appointed, modern and spotlessly clean. Excellent cool air conditioning which was very welcome as it was a very hot day.

Although we dined elsewhere on our stays here, I am sure it would have been fine.

Had a couple of beers later in the lounge which was very reasonably priced.

Had a very good nights sleep on both occasions.

The rooms had walk in showers in the bathrooms which had both plenty of pressure and hot water.

Breakfast was very good, with plenty of continental and hot food. Credit to the ladies who served us at breakfast for their friendliness, attentiveness and keeping us well supplied with coffee.

Check out was easy and efficient.

Overall a very good couple of stays at a very modern Holiday Inn hotel.

From the moment we parked up it felt relaxed.|We were checked in by a friendly and professional member of the team called Dan. |Great room, ground floor. The room was very well equipped and clean.|The bar staff were very welcoming and friendly. We chatted to the restaurant staff who all confirmed our steaks were indeed reserved! I had called ahead to ensure steaks were available.|The meal was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive, particularly Lucy.|Breakfast the following morning was wonderful, great choice and outstanding quality. Again the staff were very friendly and prepared. We will certainly be back again next year.

We stayed one night and received excellent customer service and care. The hotel is clean and well set out. The bed was extremely comfortable. We paid a bit extra for an executive room which was extremely spacious. (The complimentary mini-bar was essentially a fridge with water and a couple of biscuits). The on-site restaurant was superb in terms of service, food options, presentation and taste.

The cleanliness standards were very poor. The first room we were given had a nest of ants in. The room was full of them, how this could escape the attention of house keeping is beyond me. We were moved to the last room available that night in the hotel & again the cleanliness states was very poor. pubic hair under the pillow was beyond disgusting, not to mention the filthy curtains & smelly carpet. I was going to sleep in the car at one point, it was too late to find somewhere else & both me & my husband were exhausted from a long journey. The staff however were brilliant & so was the breakfast the next morning. We were compensated with a 50% refund & points added to our members account. It’s not exceptable though to feel so unclean & u happy when you’re expecting a lovely stay after a long day & so far from home. Very shocked & disappointed.
