We attended the West End tour, and it was great to experience this with like-minded whisky enthusiasts. We'd read the amazing reviews and came into the tour with high expectations, and Camilo delivered with a solid background in the industry, a treasure trove of knowledge and a very personable and friendly touch. The whiskey selection was great, the recommendations on point and the three hours flew by in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

With seven friends, we experienced the Whisky and Food Pairing Experience with entry-level whiskies in Glasgow, hosted by Once Upon a Whisky at restaurant Mharsanta.

- We tasted five beautiful and surprising whiskies.
- Enjoyed five unexpectedly well-paired dishes.
- Camilo was a great host who taught us a lot about whisky.
- We never imagined that whisky and food could complement each other so perfectly.

My husband and I did the Once Upon a Whisky Tour in Glasgow on May 22, 2024. I booked this primarily for my husband since he is the whisky lover. Although we only had 3 people, our guide, Cam, decided to go ahead with the tour. We all met up at the Ben Nevis Bar in Glasgow, which is a fabulous pub! We were initially surprised that our guide was from Brazil instead of Scotland, but Cam did an amazing job, and we all had a wonderful time. He is very knowledgeable and taught us things about whisky, distilleries, and bottlers that we didn’t know. We walked to two additional bars in pouring down rain and tasted a total of 4 different whiskies. All the bars on the tour had a cozy, unique atmosphere and were fun to visit. I’m not a whisky drinker, but even I liked some of the whisky and had a blast! I would recommend this to anyone who likes whisky and visits Glasgow!

Cannot recommend this walking tour with Cam enough. Over the course of three hours we visited three incredible whisky bars in Glasgow, and got a detailed lesson in whisky-making, tasting, culture, ethos, and so much more. He is incredibly knowledgeable and was kind enough to run the tour that night despite low sign-up numbers. Do it!

Camilo took us around to a few unique and interesting bars and was extremely knowledgeable. I learned so much about whiskey and other spirits. Cam was really engaging and friendly, we had an awesome time and made friends with the other tour guests

Great tour, definitely would book again! Camillo has a lot of experience in the whiskey industry, as well as with the whiskey scene in Glasgow. We learned about the history of the whiskeys we tasted, the whiskey industry in general and the pubs we visited. Really great tour for all levels of whiskey experience; there's something for everyone.

So glad I booked the West End tour during our brief stay in Glasgow (Feb 2025). Cam was super knowledgeable and made the experience amazing and fun. I enjoy whisky but didn’t know much about the different regions and styles of Scottish whisky. Even for those on the tour who didn’t have whisky there was a lot to learn and enjoy. Highly recommend!

We went on the West End tour with Camilo. He is incredibly friendly with an extensive background of whisky expertise. We were joined by a couple of gentlemen who were more familiar to the area, and more experienced whisky drinkers. They were also suprised with their tour experience, learning things and trying whiskys new to them! 5 tastings, city strolling, great conversion. When we visit again, we will 100% book one of the other experiences.
