We had an absolutely fantastic time renting a van from Scottish Tourer to explore Scotland. We rented for three weeks and we were very comfortable throughout, without any problems. The motorhome was practically brand new and very easy to drive. I would recommend the routes and tips they had online and in their booklet. We mainly followed one recommended by the Scottish Tourer with a few detours of our own for a very enjoyable two weeks.

We cannot rate Scottish Tourer highly enough. We hired the Iona model for two weeks, and it was a wonderful size for the two of us. It was immaculately clean on collection, and the team were great at explaining how everything worked. From booking, to collection at the airport, to picking up the van, to dropping it back again at the end of our stay - everything worked seamlessly.

As for the time in Scotland - wow! Every corner holds a postcard perfect picture. We were there in March, so quite a few attractions and some campsites weren't open yet, but that wasn't a problem at all. The weather was stunning (most of the time!) and the van is perfectly equipped for nights out in the wild. We weren't aware of the -4 degree C overnight temperatures at all, with the cozy heating! The roads were quiet at that time of the year, and the van was a great size to navigate even the most winding and narrow patches.

Two weeks gave us ample time for an extended trip around the NC500 route, a visit to the snowy Cairngorms, as well as time on the Isle of Skye, and many other beautiful spots.

If you're considering this kind of trip, you can't go wrong with Scottish Tourer. The information they provided was really helpful for route planning, and we knew we could contact them at any moment if there were issues.

Fantastic campervan experience with Scottish Tourer!

We had an absolutely amazing experience renting a campervan from Scottish Tourer! Everything went smoothly from start to finish — the booking process was easy, communication was quick and friendly, and the support we received was top-notch.

They provided helpful tips for planning our route and finding great camping spots, which really made a difference. Even though we notified them quite late, they kindly picked us up at the Perth station and dropped us off again after our trip — such a thoughtful touch!

The vehicle itself was brand new, spotlessly clean, and in perfect working condition. We had no issues on the road, and driving through the Scottish landscapes in our campervan was a dream. The whole journey felt relaxed and well-supported.

We truly hope to return someday for another adventure, and we would highly recommend Scottish Toures to anyone looking for a reliable and friendly campervan rental in Scotland!

We had a great holiday touring part of the NC500 including Orkney and the Outer Hebrides thanks to Scottish Tourer. The motorhome was well equipped and a very pleasant stay. And thanks to the included list of wild camping spot on Google Maps and the Garmin device provided perfect spots were easy to find. Thank you again Dawn, Nick and the rest of the team!

Scottish Tourers are at the very top of their game. From the initial enquiry through to booking, the warm welcome on arrival by Dawn and Nick and even the helpful call along the way with some practical advice.
The Barra 4 we hired was luxury on wheels for our family of 4 and we were able to take in some of the most breathtaking sights of our lives including Loch Venachar, Glencoe, Loch Katrine and the Wallace Monument.

With so many camper and motorhome hire companies it's out there, go with one you can trust and Scottish Tourers will be our only choice from here on in.

Highly recommended - friendly, approachable and professional through out hiring period - great support/ info when needed - slight issue with satnav, which didn't affect us at all and was quickly resolved.
Hired a diesel automatic which didn't miss a beat on our trip through the Hebrides - comfy, big fridge, great bed, spacious, shower, toilet and fairly easy to manoeuvre once you get used to it.

What a wonderful experience this was. Being a first time campervanner, I had some teething issues but Dawn was always available and very helpful at the end of the phone. The new Jura was a pleasure to drive, once I got used to the length. It suited the narrow roads on the Isle of Skye and the remote bits of Scotland very well. We wild camped most nights. This is something that I would definitely recommend Scottish Tourer and will be booking again.
