My husband has procrastinated about buying binoculars for years. After a chance visit to Waterston House, Aberlady he finally had the knowledge and confidence to make that purchase. Thanks to the support and advice of Shenaz. She took time to talk through and show him several options. Spending time on the viewing area trailing different types. she was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and with a very relaxed approach -there was no pressure to purchase. Great venue. Some great art works. Will visit again.

My friend recommended I speak with Shenaz at Waterston House, Aberlady as I was looking for a compact set of binoculars. She made sure I tried out the various models (of which there is a decent range) out on the decking and answered my daft questions. There was no pressure to buy and I left with a pamphlet and all the details I needed to think about any purchase. I came back a few days later, spoke with Shenaz and very happily bought a compact set after she made sure I tried them them out again . A wonderful lodge and place to visit with welcoming staff, thanks.

Came to the SOC to buy a pair of binoculars. I had previously done some research and tried a few other places but still struggling to choose.
The member of staff here was brilliant at helping me test and select the right pair. She was very knowledgeable, helping me work out what spec I needed and explaining what to look for when trying them out. There was a good variety of binoculars to choose from, and the SOC is in a great location to test them out in.
I also really enjoyed looking around the exhibition and the rest of the center, which had a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Great little centre in a lovely setting, with a quiet area to view wildlife and an interesting exhibition of wildlife paintings. I also had a very positive experience of buying binoculars here. The staff member, Shenaz, who assisted with this, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and it was great to be able to try different pairs before buying. I am very pleased with my purchase.
