Asked about bus to the giant’s causeway and were told they were every fifteen minutes. Not true. They are every 25 - 30 mins but if like us the bus didn’t come then it is an hour wait. Strange to have such infrequent buses when they are offering park and ride. I think the tourist office need to be giving accurate details on timings of buses.

The new Park & Ride service from Bushmills Information Centre to Giants Causeway is completely inefficient and unreliable. Stood for close to an hour in the wind and rain waiting for a bus to return us to town. Whilst I understand that the information centre cannot control the reliability of the local bus service, they have chosen to collaborate with Translink and offer this as a service to visitors, and therefore have to accept some level of responsibility instead of just saying they have “no control over it”. It ruined an otherwise lovely experience. Rather make your own way there.

Hazel was incredibly helpful- gave us information about the park and ride (defunct), the local bus (rare but handy) and the free path at the giant’s causeway (the website would have you believe you must pay!). Really appreciate all your assistance.

This is the Bushmills Tourist Information office (not the distillery). We stayed in Bushmills as a great base for exploring the area, and advice and information was invaluable. Caroline was very friendly and also knowledgeable, giving really useful tips on places well-known and also those less travelled. An essential resource for tourism in the area.
