Visited for a few hours. Nice walk along waterfront. Lots of old dock buildings, mixed with modern. Plenty of coffee and food places. Worth a short stroll up to the shopping centres (2). Seemed to have plenty of carparks, but we walked.

Good for a stroll and a coffee. Nice yacht and cruisers in harbour. Still needs further development to match other locations with similar waterfront (Lincoln, Cardiff etc).

I was at Ipswich Waterfront on a Thursday evening in August, in good weather and expected it to be busy, but boats and seagulls outnumbered people. There was one brave soul tackling the wind in a Kayak, but otherwise there was just the boats bobbing up and down. The views aren't bad, I've seen some impressive misty photos of the area, but didn't capture anything as impressive.

After my walk I pretended I was fancy and had a beer at Aurora's. This is the quieter end of the Waterfront with most of the action further up towards Neptune Quay. Nice place for a stroll and a bite for dinner.

Can't say much about the town centre other than be mindful of you go out there at night. There are a lot of people just sitting down randomly and drinking.

However, the waterfront is pretty and had some lovely bars and restaurants.

What a beautiful and tranquil marina to just sit and watch a lovely sunset. Situated in the heart of Ipswich this location is perfect for the evening walk to see the quay. The area has lovely restaurants, cafe, bars around and Suffolk university campus. The marina is chained at the walking edge but still need to be careful.

I Highly recomment this place.

Beautiful and Serene Waterfront. Lovely for a nice day out with the family. Plenty of options and choices for food and drinks!
There is a chain gate that keeps people from falling in so I would strongly suggest younger kids are kept hand in hand and unless your pets like to swim...keep them on a leash!!!

We stayed in a Penthouse with Amazing Views!
