A lovely night away spent at the Bull, cocktails in the garden, lovely welcoming staff, great room, good size, comfy bed, nice touches, v clean en-suite. Dinner was huge, great value for money and really good produce. Chef George did a great job on the scallops and Cam our server was lovely . The next morning we forced ourselves into the full English on recommendation and it didn't disappoint.|Excellent local sausage and eggs very well cooked. Couldn't fault it. We will be back, probably with the dog next time. Thanks team Bull for our lovely stay

Very nice pub with rooms. Loved the decor, and dinner and especially the breakfast was very good- lots of fresh, delicious choices. Ditchling is a pretty, historic little village. Team helped to store our four bikes for the night, which was appreciated. Would suggest a room at the back (not facing the street) as cars passing by most of the night were noisy. Rooms are small and perfectly formed- charming.

A lovely stay at the Bull Ditchling. A warm welcome on arrival, G&T beside the lit fire after a damp day. Nice cosy beamed bar area with big comfy chairs. We ordered scotch eggs, sausage rolls & chunky chips - delicious! The staff were so friendly.|The room was lovely, smelt amazing as we walked in & had everything you need. Coffee machine, radio, crisp white linen, thick white towels & robes. Comfy bed & quality pillows. We had fish & chips/steak for dinner which was tasty & plenty.|Breakfast was so good, we had traditional full English served by Philomena who was a delight - even gave us a hug goodbye when we left! We will return. Thank you team Bull

We booked the Bull as we had a wedding close by, we booked for 5 nights. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were also amazing. Our room however I was a little disappointed in, it was very small and no where to store luggage no AC just a little fan that didn’t really do much. We had to have the window open and as we were close to the road the noise made it difficult to sleep. Mattress and pillows need attention too. Other guests of the wedding that only stayed one night had much bigger rooms. Considering we were staying 5 nights I think a bit more thought in room allocation would be great. Let me say that the bigger rooms looked amazing and were on the quieter side of the hotel so maybe when booking specify one of the larger rooms 🙂

We had an overnight stay at The Bull and found the room delightful, the bed extremely comfortable and big enough for me and my husband (we are quite tall and not slim 😋). The room was big with a Samsung Tv and a Dyson fan which came in useful as it was a warm weekend. There was a Nespresso machine and kettle, the fresh milk was delicious. My husband’s only moan was that there were no biscuits 😂. The bathroom was clean with a good bathroom mirror with a makeup light which you don’t often find and made such a difference. There is a big shower and very good smellies. The staff were friendly and efficient. The stairs up to the rooms could be challenging for older people but it is such an old beautiful building that I can’t see any way of changing this. We didn’t get the chance to try the restaurant but will do on our next visit- hopefully soon!

Welcoming staff.|Small room but really clean and comfortable. Had everything I needed including a Nespresso machine and a Roberts radio. Fully equipped bar.|Clean and modern bathroom with good shower pressure.|The room was fine as was on my own but may have felt cramped if sharing room or if had more than one suitcase! The room is, however, sold as s small double. |Excellent breakfast.|Restaurant/ pub was full (Thursday evening). Really good food!

We booked our two night Fri/Sat stay at the Bull in advance and on arrival our check in was dealt with by Lizzie, a friendly and extremely helpful member of staff. |The Pimms Fiz I ordered was made with lots of fresh ingredients and was the best I've had so far this year! A big shout out to the barman (apologies for not getting a name!)|Our room (no.2) was was cosy, quirky and comfortable. The Dyson fan, coffee machine & bathrobes were nice luxurious touches which were put to good use!|We had an evening meal and breakfast (uncooked) during our stay and both were extremely tasty and satisfying. Philomena looked after us very well indeed during breakfast and on check out.|Many thanks to all the staff for making our stay one to remember! We would have no hesitation in recommending you to one and all and look forward to a return visit!
