Don't buy a ticket: you don't get much closer than I did, which was easily within range of my mobile phone camera! Also, don't take the bus to the stones from the visitor centre, unless you're incapable of walking half an hour: you'll miss so much scenery; and the pilgrimage there on foot adds something to the whole atmosphere..

We enjoyed, the walk is well worth it vs the bus. We took the bus back and be ready for a large line. It does go fast though which is nice. I thought would only be an hour but we spent almost 3 hours there by choice. We really enjoyed this but is very crowded so be ready.

It was busy but we were still able to get some great shots of the stones. And plenty of places to sit down and just enjoy them for a bit, you could even bring a picnic. The visitor center lines moved quickly and everyone was very polite and helpful. They have a little cafe of sorts outside with a fare selection of snacks.

Stonehenge was incredible. We booked our visit for the special after-hours VIP ticket for 6:30 pm. This is after the site is closed to the general public and you go in a small group to tour the site. However, with this VIP ticket, you get to go inside the stones and walk around and through all the stones. It was fabulous and worth every penny. If you go during normal visitor hours, you can only view the stones from behind a rope which is quite a distance from the stones. Anyone can buy the vip tickets online, they are just extremely limited, so plan in advance.

Nice visit enroute for us to a cruise otherwise would have been abit far to come but glad we got to see it. Really nice location made all the better by having good weather on the day, can be a bit expensive to visit but if you have the national heritage membership it's not a bad price at all. Service was fast and you could either catch the bus from the museum/ shop or walk, which ever you'd rather really.. had a great walk round the monuments and looked round the shop after. Corniche pasties from the cafe was top notch 👌 would reccomend if your passing l, if only we knew who put them there 🤔😂

Lots of big rocks here. Don't do what Did. Book in advance and leave plenty of time to get arround. The line for tix was quite long but staff kept everyone moving. Shuttle busses run regularly from the centre to the rocks. The walk took us about 35 mins at step dad speed.

Unbelievable visit after my first visit in 1976. 49 years later it was even better than the first time
With visitors center, and buses for those that couldn't walk from center to stones site area. I took so many pictures. My wife's first time and she was amazed also. So many we talked to of English residents never have gone. I highly suggest everyone makes a visit. The views of the surrounding area are breathtaking. I hope the group that manages the historical site keeps up the absolutely great work

Amazing!
You will go to the parking area, payment needed at entrance, you need to register with the link, add your card, and pay which pretty much long and waste of time, then you need to get the ticket which is expensive, we decided not to buy and just walk 30minutes enjoyed the pathway, beautiful sky and surrounding all the way to stones, not so much different with those who paid, only you will be staying on one side, the rest is all good feeling, except it was windy, be prepared. If it is cloudy, it would be better. Nice adventure ✨️
