Just back from an amazing stay at Kaowood. We had the Woodland Lodge.

The lodge was ready for our arrival, including hot tub ready for use 😊😊

The lodge was very clean and the hot tub was checked daily for the quality of water.

We both enjoyed our stay very much, it is so quiet and relaxing and would highly recommend this to anyone else. The two gentleman on site are really friendly and helpful, nothing is too much for them, they are always happy to help.

Thank you so much for a very warm welcome and tremendous stay.

Can we suggest it would be helpful to have a facility to hang and dry our swim wear/towels rather than hanging them in the surrounding trees on hangers, but this would not deter us from visiting again 😊😊

Best wishes

Really nice place to go for a relaxing weekend or day away. We stayed in Snowdrop10 lodge. Everything was clean , even though the lodge was pet friendly and my husband has an allergy to dog hair , I can say we didn't smell or see any dog hair. The hot tub was really clean. Lovely wood area to go for a walk and kids to play. The lodge has a bbq area, heated radiators in every room, lots of storage. No wifi in the lodge, but tv has Netflix, YouTube and lots of movies app to watch. The only missing thing was a mop and a bucket. We really enjoyed our stay, we can't wait to go back again soon.

Just returned home after 3 wonderful nights, the lodge was just as expected small, compact but ideal for the 2 of us. The situation of the lodge is great tucked away on its own so nice & secluded. We had booked early check in which was great as made use of the hot tub almost straight away. If your looking for a peaceful retreat this is the place go as all you hear are the birds singing, pheasants & grouse roaming past, squirrels running round & your surrounded in woodland. It’s the perfect place to book if you just want to get away from all the hustle & bustle & relax. If you want to go exploring it’s a great base as not that far from Laugharne, Pendine, Tenby etc. The staff are very friendly & will go above & beyond to answer any questions. So much so we’ve rebooked to return in the next few months! This time the teens & dogs are coming & we can’t wait to return!!

Could be a lovely little place but really needs some money spent on it to update facilities now. The chalet itself was a little tired and in need of a spruce up! It was also cold as the main living room heater wasn’t working. We had a chalet for 8 people but our hot tub was just a four person tub and was on a slope, so when four of us got in the water spilled over the edge leaving the water level low. A hose is provided for refilling, however it then takes many hours to come back to temperature so this was quite disappointing. The low water level also showed the skin and debris not cleared from the hot tub which looked like it hadn’t been cleaned appropriately for some time. If you do use the hot tubs you will need to provide your own bath sheet, a standard bath towel and hand towel are provided for the shower. Also take washing up liquid for dishes and toiletries as it’s self catering and there are no facilities nearby to purchase anything. The bluebells were in bloom and a walk through the bluebell wood is recommended as it’s gorgeous.

Just returned home from a 2 night stay in Wren 23. |What can I say, I'll start with the |Positives|Lovely location|Seen a bit of wildlife|Lovely little walk around the park||Negatives|Smell of damp|Very limited kitchen utensils and crockery|Needs maintenance |Not as peaceful as previous stay||So I'll into a bit more detail.|The park itself is lovely. There's a nice little walk around the park where we saw pheasants and some newts in the pond. It's lovely waking up to the sounds of the birds cheeping, wonderful! |Now, me and my hubby stayed at Kaewood last year in the hive away (couldn't fault it) where as Wren 23 is quite different. Don't get me wrong it wasn't dreadful but it could do with some TLC. On arrival it felt cold inside so we put the heating on. However, when you have the heating on you seem to smell a bit of damp. Anyway, this is Wales so you get used to damp. The kitchen needs more utensils! I understand it's only for 2 people but wouldn't hurt to have more than 2 of everything. |Kitchen cupboards were also a little untidy and had some cobwebs inside. The fridge had no milk compartment nor a salad tray but was clean. The freezer was full of ice from previous guests (frozen solid) One of the chairs to the dining table has a really wobbly leg (unsafe) |The bedroom looked ok but wallpaper on the wall needs replacing as there's bits missing. Again, cobwebs and spiders in the corners. The bed, well that just needs chucking out! There's a large dip on the left hand side and the mattress itself is grubby (thank God for clean bedding) also a little sqeeky as it's an old metal bedframe. Nice view of the pond out of the bedroom window though so not all bad. |The bathroom looked nice and quite big. The bottom row of grout (in the shower) looked grubby. I will say the shower itself is really nice but could do with a better shower head. Nice sink! Heated towel rail is a plus.|It's the small things that make a big difference, like cleaning under the sofa cushions (quite a few pet hairs) getting rid of cobwebs and spiders would be a great start.|The outside area of this particular lodge looked tired. The woodwork needs a tidy up, the AstroTurf, around the hot tub, needs replacing and the lid to the hot tub......well just hope you have muscles to take it off and then put it back on cause my gosh it's heavy! Like I say it's little things that would make it so much better. |Oh one thing I will mention and I can't exactly blame the park for this but other guests were noisy! I wouldn't mind but it continued past midnight. |Last thing and I think it's important to mention there is NO first aid kit in this lodge so might be worth taking your own.|I have stayed here twice now and did consider coming again but think I will pass as it's not a cheap place to stay and expect better for the money.

What a wonderful place! We stayed in "The Hive" for 2 nights. The accommodation was lovely all the decor seemed bee related. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of utensils and crockery for 2 people. The outside space (the decking area) was lovely to sit out in the morning with a cuppa. The hot tub is around the back and felt quite private. Would definitely recommend the hive and would return myself. The outside area is very quiet with a short walk around the whole grounds. There's also a pond which would be even more lovely if there was a couple of benches dotted around. Overall a lovely, peaceful stay.

We stayed at shrew lodge and it was honestly pretty great inside and out and The hot tub was my personal favourite. I only had an issue with the moths and the flies but there’s nothing anyone could do about it since it’s in the middle of a forest lol. A very good place to stay for a getaway and would definitely stay again!

An absolutely amazing place for a well-needed getaway! We stayed at the Hive-Away and it was very quiet and relaxing. The hot tub is overlooking the trees which is great for a bird-watcher like myself. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend - not just for couples but for families too!
