Never, but absolutely never, participate in a long-distance and stay-over tour of this kind. I joined a 3-day Edinburgh tour with Travelsights tour company on July 14-16, 2023, and encountered numerous issues from start to finish.

They are so unprofessional that they responded to my complaint email, sent on July 18, only after a reminder email, a full 2 months later, on September 18, 2023. And even in their response emails two months later, they had incorrectly stated the amount I paid and the room type I stayed in.

The main reason for taking a tour to a new place is to be at specific locations within the stated time frame and hours to visit those places. However, they always attribute any issues during the tour to the passengers, never accepting any responsibility on their part. They refuse to acknowledge that they have any responsibility.

Regarding where we would stay and exactly what was included in the tour, we received no written notifications beforehand. They simply told us that, as passengers, we should check their website.

On the return journey, there was a visit to the city of York, and due to unscheduled breaks that were never asked for but they claim passengers requested, we could only spend 1 hour and 45 minutes in the city. We couldn't even see the city's cathedral because it had closed before we arrived. And they blame us passengers for this too!!!!

A trip to a beautiful city like Edinburgh turned out to be as bad as it could possibly be, and the tour company never accepts responsibility for anything that falls under their responsibility!!!!"

I took a 3 days tour with this company to visit Edinburgh from July 14th to 16th. Sadly things didn’t go as we expected. First of all, we depart from Cambridge around 9am arriving to Edinburgh at 6 pm, so we spent the whole day travelling, but finally it was part of the itinerary so I decided to have rest and be prepared to the tour day on Saturday. The itinerary offer a one day guided tour by bus around the city, but this tour only lasted 2 hours and not the whole day as we were expecting. They left us at the castle around 11 am after 2 hour of tour and didn’t tell us that we had to book the tickets in advance to get into the castle, so around the half of the group didn’t have access because we were not informed. The itinerary included a visit to York on Sunday, the last day. So we supposed to stay in York for around 4 hours but it wasn’t happen too, we stayed only for 1 hour because they said the time wasn’t enough because some the passengers took more time than they allowed during the bus stops. Finally we spent more time travelling than the time we really spent visiting the cities. The tour was poorly organised and didn’t accomplished what they offered. Edinburgh it’s an amazing city but the Travelsights tour was a bit messy.
