Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The waiter/ host was very funny and all waitresses very helpful. Food was excellent and wine delicious.

Food was amazing as usual.

However, when the starter arrived we were given no cutlery, asked for extra butter as well. 5 mins later we had to go and get these ourselves.

Shortly after, the waiter came over to see if everything was ok. We hadn’t finished starters at this point. Less than a minute later he arrived back with our mains and was forced down in front of us. No time to finish starter nor allow it to settle before being made to eat our mains.

I had my wedding here and we could not have asked for a better day. The whole lead up and planning was impeccable. The staff went a above and beyond. The entire day ran so smoothly and it honestly felt so relaxed that our guests welcomed the staff with open arms. All the staff were so helpful and professional. John was so amazing and took extra care of our guests and especially made sure all the kids were looked after. Which meant that we could totally relax and enjoy our day. John even went beyond with helping our daughter by cutting up her food once it was brought out to her and got her a drink and totally took care of her. Everything was set out perfectly. The food was abundant and absolutely delicious. The cocktails and drinks were amazing. At the end of the night the staff entertained the kids with their dance moves as we said our goodbyes to guests and gathered our things which was amazing and allowed us some time to make sure we had gathered everything. They had packed the rest of our things and set aside for us to collect the next day. Such a well run day and beautiful setting and views. Could not fault one single thing.

Food is excellent and service great. However extremely disappointed that the early bird menu was not available as per the website. The sirloin is good but just sirloin chips one mushroom and sauce is underwhelming for the price of the dish. I had requested a window table which I did not get.

We had a table booked for 6.pm. On Sunday evening.
On arrival we noticed the restaurant was pretty full however we were shown to a table pretty quickly in a cold corner beside the toilets. There appeared to be only 2 staff on and one was on the till, so really one waitress left to serve.
A table of 12 had just been seated before us so we guessed it would be a busy service for the minimal staff. We waited at our table for 15 minutes, no one came near us to even take a drinks order so we made a disappointing decision to cut our losses and leave.
We informed the staff as we left and the reply was ‘ well we’re very busy’. That’s true!
While it’s great to see a local business doing well, if you don’t have the staff to cover the numbers, it’s only going to end one way, people will eat elsewhere. Fortunately we were lucky to find another venue close by and received excellent service.

Our first time here and definitely won’t be the last, food was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or better with my young children, they really were so good with them. Dining was nice and relaxed with kids, but next time will come back with my husband and try upstairs.

Great food with lots of variety. They have a great selection of cocktails and desserts too. Friendly staff! However when you're asked if you want a large drink be aware they will charge you for 2 small drinks, which I felt was a strange upsell technique.

Been 2 weeks in a row with my little boy & the food has been absolutely gorgeous. Staff always lovely even when super busy. It’s fab to have a place to go which doesn’t just expect kids to only eat chicken nuggets or burgers… I like being able to take my little boy out for wholesome, delicious food & this place ticks all the boxes.
